Hand calculated or computer?Throwing my hat in the ring here -
Willys w/ Auto trans, stock 3.73 and 33`s, 3.5" front / 2" rear lift, probably 450 pounds of accessories (Bumpers, winch, roll bar, diff armor, etc etc) Ive been averaging ~14.8 mpg.
Recently installed a throttle body spacer and shot up to ~17 mpg, after a few thousand miles and fuel trim adjusting I am averaging ~16.5 and the truck has more "get up and go". No intake or exhaust mods. The spacer was cheap and will pay for itself in gas savings in time.
Those numbers are from the Average MPG reported by the dash.Hand calculated or computer?
I like how you use metric but the mileage still reads out in imperial :DI like piping up on the MPG threads because mine seems to do well. I appreciate I'm in a mostly flat country but the JTR spends a lot of time off road (hard dirt and soft sand). Over the last 600+ miles of road and dune bashing I have averaged an indicated 20.2mpg running 315/70/17 BFG ATs.
On the last 60km run out to the sand at the weekend I managed to average 27mpg cruising at 60-70.
Yes, I'm imperial all the way but here speeds and distance are all metric. I was impressed the JT let me mix them up like this.I like how you use metric but the mileage still reads out in imperial :D
And I bet a pic at that speed was just 'coincidence'? :PFreeway and slower country roads put me at about 20 mph. Drove from the Oregon Coast inland so we did have some hills to climb. Mojave with no mods.

Nice. What fuel were you running?Just finished a round trip to Florida, 2260 miles, 22.7 mpg, lots of 70-75 mph stretches. Overland w/stock gears (3.70) and tires (32" on 18" wheels), 1 1/2" spacer in front, 3/4" in back.
