I guess I wouldn't mind gearing to the moon if I thought modern Jeeps were CJs from the 80s when it comes to handling, braking, etc. Some gear for 55mph, I gear for 85+. We roadtrip all over the western states to go wheeling and own property in AZ 500 miles from home. The cruise control is typically set between 80 and 90mph. Time is more important to me than fuel. Sure you feel wind gusts more in a Jeep, but it's not like a box van. It's not actually blowing over. If you can't drive a JT at 85mph, you'd have never made it in a lifted yj.Why would you be doing 75 plus in a Jeep? You want to haul ass buy a sports or muscle car. Only a retard drives a Jeep over 75. I would not feel safe going that fast especially if you get a good gust of wind.
Wow! 90 mph in a Jeep? You are brave. I have had mine at 90 for a very brief moment when I had stock gears and with a solid axle just to see how it handled and no thanks. I had a YJ and over 70 if you could keep it there with the 4 banger it was loud and wondered all over the road. Unless you are a trucker trying to make deliveries on time don't see the need to run so fast.
