I have a '24 Gladiator Mojave, with 3" JKS J-Kontrol Mojave lift, still have the stock 4.10 gears. I am about to put on 37" Nitto Recons, with the idea of eventually re-gearing. Do you think I will be find for a few months without re-gearing? I use it mainly as a daily driver, in town & hwy, with some light trails and pasture land. Will I be ok? Is this a horrible idea? My Gladiator currently has 13,800 miles... Pic is current with 35" Toyo AT3

You’ll be fine. There’s a few members here that do it but I’m still on the fence. I have the same lift and 35’s.

Been running the aev Mojave 2ā€ lift and 37ā€ nitto ridge grapplers for about a year on stock gears with no complaints. Would it be better with a re-gear sure, but I honestly don’t mind. 8th gear is a little more rare but it doesn’t bother me.

I’m on 37’s with 4.10. It’s fine so far. Will likely regear in a year or so, but none of my trips until then will need it. Be sure to update the computer to get the shift points updated.

All is well, ran 37's on my Mojave and am now on a JLU with factory 4.56 and 35's, there is almost no difference. I'd bet that the majority of those that say they'll regear soon never will. A lot of money for very little return, especially for those that think they'll save on fuel. That's a pipe dream to recoup.

How many of you running 37s on 4.10 do steep climbs in your offroading? Dirt hills, sand dunes, etc.

That's where I'm most hesitant to go past 35.

23 Mojave/37's/4.10/stock suspension
I have done some very steep, sugar sand hill climbs. Turn on OffRoad +, press and hold Traction Control button for 10 seconds. You will have plenty of wheel spin in 1st gear and 4H. It's a Mojave, let it run.

Very nice! Please don't get my hopes up.

Have any experience with them in the mountains? Highway and offroad.

I've been running 37s on Mojave with 4.10 gears for about a year. Went to Moab last fall and ran a lot of trails no problem. Would 4.88 be better, sure but so would 4:1 transfer case. It's not a big deal, if YOU find it is, you can regear or go back to 35s. Which many will tell you should be on 4.56 gears.
It's your rig, enjoy it your way.

On your trip to Moab, did you happen to go through CO or other mountainous roads to see how your 37s felt? Because on my trip, stock 33", I could definitely see why someone in CO wouldn't want 37s without a regear.

I do, just got back from North GA. Step climbs, limiting factor was traction.
I've done step climbs in Moab with 4.10 and 37s and aev 2in lift. The truck is a beast. Like I said on another post, would 4.88 be better? Sure, but so would the 4:1 transfer case instead of my 2.72:1. But it is not gutless and not a drag to drive or wheel. I will likely never regear. If I went with bigger tires for sure but bigger tires means bigger lift, bigger front end components, and probably bigger rocks.
You won't regret 37s and it is not a deal breaker to run 4.10.
Have fun

Yes, I did go through CO. It's not a big deal unless you are worried about how long you are in 8th gear. When in hills the Jeep does a lot of shifting. Maybe you fell like it is a 7 speed transmission instead of 8. IMHO It's not the monster some make it out to be. Ymmv

Looks great Steve. Now how are you feeling about the 4.10s? Once you set the tire size appropriately and let it learn the shifting I think you'll find it is very liveable.
Looks great, gorgeous color!!!😜
