Are the headlights on these JT's that bright? I get flashed all the time when my lights are on dim. They are adjusted correctly so I just flash them back to let them know that they can get even brighter.
I have fun with them when I get flashed........i hit them with the ditch lights and fuck them up.

This is not what I was hoping this thread was going to be about! Stupid dirty mind.

Yeah Man, was hoping to see some thingies, hu-hu!!!

Back to reality, my eyes are more sensitive as I get older and the LEDs on some of these vehicles just blind the hell out of me with the LED replacement bulbs being the worst. Then ya have to put up with the shu-wee-holes that will not dim their lights no matter what. The windshield on my truck needs to be auto - darkening like my welded helmet.

Maybe Santa Claus has me some anti-bright-light lights in mind, but he probably knows that I'll be naughty with them, so I can kiss those goodbye.

I did the Rubicon spring/shock swap on my Overland and get flashed all the time until I rolled my headlights down. Still happens on occasion, so I keep a finger on the x-ray machine when I am meeting on-coming traffic at night.

I keep ours stock and use only (MoPar) factory replacement parts when it is serviced. Steel front bumper, off road lights and everything on the front except the winch is OEM (MoPar). Ours is a Rubicon with auto dimming headlights and the Auto is always on. Still we get flashed, but then we also get flashed in our Volvo which also has LED's so perhaps it's that.... In California, it is a violation of the CVC to not have off road lights covered when traveling on a highway.
Yeah my wife was headed to San Diego the other month and asked why I was throwing the covers on the offroad lights. I let her know about the California deal. Here in Vegas they dont care. Of course I had to reminder her do not touch the aux light switches since the covers were on! :)

I thought whatever was legal in your state of registration, is legal everywhere?

NOTHING about Kalifornia surprises me though

around here there's so many dipshits that drive with their high beams on 100%, I barely ever get flashed. Like seriously, do people not know their brights are on or not know how to turn it off??

Don't forget that in winter you need to drive with your fogs on constantly too. Because winter dark is much darker than summer dark

The actual height of the headlights has a lot to do with it. A lot of people put in levelers on their front springs and that does affect their aim.
The LEDs don’t change brightness just ‘opens’ the top half projecting further.

I think the closeness of the lights also adds to it since the closer together, inside lights are the brights on many vehicles.

They are seldom correct from the factory? Are you sure about that, and if so, what are you basing this on?

I'd think most of them are correct from the factory.

The only time I have adjusted headlights on any vehicle is when I have lifted it.
I think Shadow meant that the adjustment of the whole replaceable housing isn't correct/adjusted properly straight from aftermarket/factory. and/or an aftermarket bulb being replaced in a housing is "not" specifically designed for the reflector housing.

The mopar LEDs aren't the worst offenders. I constantly get blasted from new Acuras, Toyota sedans or aftermarket builds that make me want to ram their f'ing car off the road ; )
Leveling/adjusting headlights isn't exactly a driveway fix unless your vehicles is sitting perfectly level with the target that's 30 + ft away and that's nearly impossible due to the pitch required for runoff.. best add that adjustment onto a trip to the dealer

wow…I only lightbar someone if they are a total ass and like cut me off making me slam on the brakes to avoid smashing into them. I never lightbar an oncoming car.
Yeah, that's crazy. Lightbars are common in MT, but I've never seen anyone lightbar at someone. I think there would be some bad outcomes if someone did that here, even as laid back as we are.
