Sounds Shifty.This sounds a little sketch, like they're going to wait until the exact gladiator that you custom ordered is sitting in front of both of you before negotiating a price? They're hoping you'll be a sucker, IMO. You've gotta nail down at least some of the pricing details sooner rather than later.
My closest dealer tried to tell me that they couldn't go below invoice, and that they would get in trouble if corporate found out they showed me the invoice price.
The buying process is such a PITA. I mean I like that this forum gives me access to some good advice and discounts, but it would be so much easier if it was a transparent process.
No contract, no money, no deal. The $1000. For what? What is there risk they need to protect with $1000. When do you get the vin?
