On facebook (soo many scam groups for selling chinese products)/reddit and co, it is always the exact same... new user blurts out a question, most of those could have been answered by simply having a look. Followed by simple common-sense solutions or not actual problems (that user feels are problems, like why are the window switches, I want to relocate...)... then there are the rtfm or a quick google will direct here; and last there are the questions that still have no answers... even on here.
The community here is great, and I think a lot of people come online, check in, and go on driving their Jeeps. They can only buy so many, have sorted out what they want, and deal with the rest... others have moved on, as the Jeep way was not for them...
Also, I think , prices going up and novelty wearing off is a cause for fewer new members, asking all the same questions we all did at some time
I am on daily, most of the time I don't bother signing in.
Not to mention, a select few ;) are holding down the fort nicely

Forums usually are a place for new owners to share their excitement and for seasoned owners to share troubleshooting / experiences. As we know the "new owners" aspect is certainly declining. Sales peaked in 2021 around 90K units to 2025 Q1 around 12K units.
Jeeps fault for jacking up prices while delivering a new dash but essentially the same truck from 2020. I love my truck but wouldn't buy another one at the current prices and sole engine choice.

I've used it as a way to research vehicle issues, solutions, hacks, real world product reviews, network and of course post fun stuff. There's bell curve cycles with every forum I've ever been on. This is the same.

I look at a few other forums. They are not as active lately either. Could be the season?

I am subscribed to emails from this forum and get daily emails about the most popular posts of the previous day. There is also one sent every Monday of the previous week’s most popular posts as a whole. People are posting daily but things do seem to get buried. A lot of issues and modifications have been addressed over the past 5 or so years. Many questions that most members may have about any given topic can be found with a quick search, so many people, including myself, may find what we need and not bother with a follow up post to say what the outcome was.

Generally speaking, I try to keep all of my online activity as a, I go to it, not a have it pushed to me.

Not going to spend a ton of time in my life arguing with someone on a forum, or group, about a matter of opinion.

Or for that matter, a matter of fact. If you think 2+2=7, well okie dokie then. More power to you, enjoy life, I'm out. I have, personally, a good life, full of things to do that or worthwile or precious to me to do. Arguing with some wanker on the internet, isn't one of them.

On the flip side, when I go to the internet for help, information, guidance... It's nearly impossible to get clear, concise answers to very specifically framed questions. People project their crap onto you, don't read, chime in with unsolicited advice... Like, look man, idc if you love stop/start, or use Jscan, or think it's dumb... I just asked if the Taser could turn it off permanently (for example)

Perhaps it is because when someone, especially someone new asks a question, thirty seconds later a response comes up to quit bothering the members and use the search function.
As a Google stockholder, I'm looking for a good return on my investment.

This forum seems to be more active than most for Gladiators . I am always looking for a forum as busy as "Jeep Forum" was 20 some years ago for TJ mods but I guess them days are gone

Marilyn Monroe shot Lee Harvey Oswald with an AK47 that she stole from Lee Iacocca who is the great grandson of Buster Keaton who founded the NRA after Abraham Lincoln sold FoMoCo to the governor of Atlantis when he teleported from Mars and is Matt Damon's biological step-dad!

I read that on the Bat-Shit Crazy form so it must be true. BSC is my news source.

All the lights on my Jeep are flickering.

Is it just me, or does this forum not seem to have as much activity as it used to? I remember it used to seem fairly consistent with new posts to read on.
Have most people gone to social media for their gladiator talk? What groups are the ones to hop on?
I hate to see forums just turning slowly into ghost towns. I have spent tons of years on forums, and I actually prefer them to the whole social media stuff.
In marketing, there is something known as the TAM or total available market. When you have competition, you want as big a percentage as you can get. You could say that mid size trucks is the TAM that the Gladiator falls within from a macro standpoint, but the Gladiator is also very unique within that market niche. I have to wonder if Jeep may have saturated its market share as the uniqueness may limit its ability to penetrate the overall niche TAM.

And thus we are seeing the end of a cycle where all those excited and wanting one have already purchases with a limited turnover and loss for various reasons. And as time goes by and you get used to what's sitting in the driveway and use it daily there is some "stimulus generalization" going on, kind of like the music they play in department stores but you no longer hear... After you have researched and talked about what you are going to do and then tell people about it, and a couple years go by, you might monitor conversations, but are not motivated to necessarily participate.

I bet if you were to put all users together and create an "interest" curve, you would see high usage at first tapering off over time with spikes down the road around something that attracts their attention. That's the kind of things I'd look at or at least would have when I was doing marketing pre-digital times. Now there has to be much better data and I'd love looking at it.

Further, as time goes by, with few if any substantive changes to the model/trims, while substantive price increases, there is little reason for present owners to upgrade. Sales reflect that.

Further, market penetration is limited by the uniqueness and comparative price and so, people decide one of the other mid sized trucks or a Gladiator...

I still blame facespace.
Oh, the questions there are so basic and uninformed it is a joke generally speaking. I refer here upon occasion even tell them what to search on once they get here... But that's likely too much work for them. God knows you might have to click four or five times to find out what you want to know. I WANT IT NOW, no effort...

I got my JTMX for LESS than my 2022 cost and about the same price as my 2020 cost.
However, my 2020 and 2022 were Overland, so -
For about the same money, I got
a superior radio system (nice features blows the other away),
power seats (better seats in many ways),
the mojave suspension (and knuckles)
mojave frame,
more airbags/safety features,
Sunrider,
and a few other extras, plus all of the stuff my others had.

So I got a lot more truck for the same money I spent on the other two.

Not where I'm at. My local dealer is stingy. While nationwide dealers were offering over 25% off mine wouldn't go over 15%. Same engine, though.
