Gladiator = Last mid-size pickup w/ diesel

Ok folks, the new Colorado has been announced & you guessed it - no more diesel option. In fact, a turbo 2.7L 4-cyl is all they will offer (with 3 different power levels). If you are a diesel fan & have been putting off buying one, you might want to pull the trigger soon, I don't think the Ecodiesel is long for this world. If we are lucky, they will wait until the straight 6 twin turbo is available for the JT but Jeep is notorious for doing things that don't make sense to us.
Interesting there are no hybrid or EV mid-size pickups yet.

Pretty sure GM only made 12 for sale. Sure looks that way. And yes, I'm sure at some point we will see the diesel die in the Jeep sooner than later

I was just playing on the Jeep site- I have only seen that motor option in the grand wagoner….
one of my local dealers is claiming the 392 wrangler in 23 is going to go away and the hurricane (or possibly the tornado???) motor will replace that? - I have read zero supporting info on this…..

Is there a leak? Or just skepticism/hope that the JT is going to eventually get the online 6 monster?

Jeep has stated that the new GM3-T6 will fit 'anywhere the current 3.6L' fits, also stated that it is going in the Dodge (car) lineup. I suspect Ram 1/2 ton will be next, as Jeep tries to figure out how to make it work in the Wrangler. Then lastly the Gladiator. Expect the next-gen Wrangler & JT to have a tad longer nose-

Where are you getting the longer nose? I am not seeing any reference to the requirements to stretch any vehicle on any article?? If they can shoe horn a 6.2L into a wrangler- not seeing why a 3.0 in line 6 is going to be a problem.

Anyone have a motor diagram on this new motor? Is it a true in-line or a “in line” with a 15* offset…. Vw VR6 and a few other “in lines”

Fairly sure I read that the I6 is 2-3" longer than the V8. ?
