Jeep® Gladiator Ranks First in Midsize Pickup Segment in J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Initial Quality Study, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge Brands Improve IQS Scores Over 2024
  • Three Stellantis models place in top three of their respective segments
  • Gladiator outperforms the segment average in seven of 10 key areas in Midsize Pickup category
  • Jeep Wrangler and Chrysler Pacifica finish second in their segments
  • Jeep brand improves 13 points on strength of Gladiator and Wrangler performance
  • Dodge brand climbs 24 spots, biggest gain among all automotive brands
  • Chrysler brand jumps 13 points
June 26, 2025 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - The Jeep® Gladiator claims a top spot in the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS), placing first in the Midsize Pickup segment*, and leads the segment average in seven out of 10 measured categories, including driving experience, infotainment and interior. This is the second time in three years that Gladiator was top in its segment.

The Jeep Wrangler also performed well, finishing second in the Compact SUV category, while the Jeep brand overall improved by 13 points, reflecting the strong performance of its two iconic models and continued strides in addressing customer concerns.

Dodge made one of the largest gains among all automotive brands in the 2025 IQS, climbing 24 positions to rank seventh overall.

The Chrysler brand also earned positive recognition, reducing its problems per 100 vehicles by 13. The Chrysler Pacifica ranked second in the Minivan segment, reinforcing the brand’s strength in owner-reported satisfaction.

“We’re building momentum and, more importantly, building trust,” said Yuri Rodrigues, senior vice president, quality, Stellantis North America. “These results show that we’re listening to our customers and putting them at the center of every decision we make. We are focused on setting the highest ambitions in quality, and the time is now to execute."

J.D. Power surveyed new-vehicle buyers about their first 90 days of ownership, measuring the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles to assess brand performance.

*Tied in 2025.

‘First place, in the convertible pickup, with the front 2/3 the same as a different vehicle, midsize truck category.’

Jokes aside, mines been rock solid compared to my last two trucks, a Colorado and a Titan, both 2021, both at the dealer as often as on my driveway.

I can believe that after owning one of the new Tacomas. I had a 24 TRD that grenaded the transmission around 3800 miles.

I like my Gladiator WAY better. It even rides better in my humble opinion.

A company I previously worked for made us use Tacomas , the absolute worst riding vehicle I ever had the displeasure of driving. The steering was Horrible and going up anything loose required 4wd and bridge approaches would literally throw you if they was slanted or mismatched. My Gladiator just glides right over that kinda stuff

I guess initially its good.

The horrible OEM clutch and my current hood corrosion tell a different story past "initial" on my 23 MY.
Mines a 21 and I dont have any of these corrosion spots everyone is always talking about. ?
Is it salty where you live ?

Wow, that must have cost as much as a Harrison Ford superbowl commercial!
My Uncle was once the Chairman of the Board at Gallup. When he got a golden parachute he used it to start his own boutique market research firm. I get his opinions are obviously biased being competition, but he used to say JD Powers was very much market research for sale to the highest bidder. Give em enough money and they'll say whatever you want and give you a little trophy to show for it.

Retired. Beach bum.
Having owned two Colorados, a 2016 Ext Cab 4x4, V6 Z71, I paid $33k for was trouble free plus towed a 4,000 lbs travel trailer all over the east coast and Texas Gulf Coast and Pigeon Forge areas. With a total of 69,000 miles. I got $25k for in trade on. The second was a 2019 Crew Cab 4x4, V6 WT, we also paid $33k for. Again trouble free, but with a 5,600 lbs travel trailer and towed with ease. For 78,000 trouble free miles, then received $22k in trade on our 2024 Gladiator Sport S. I can definitely say the build quality and materials all over are higher, the ride is better especially off road, the only improvement the Colorados had over my Gladiator, was the independent front suspension and rack and pinion steering system was more precise, handling better on road, but harsher. Both have same size engine, the Chevy having a little more on paper, but not noticeable, mileage was a little better in the Chevys, but not by much. Can’t say anything about towing because we sold them. Got tired of trying to find availability camp sites in State Parks especially due to lower prices and more space and nicer areas, that are to expensive for private owners to make $$$, especially waterfront areas, but try to get one!

You take that sport S get a Rubicon front sway bar disconnect and you wint even have the thought of Independent front suspension anymore.
The steering on these gladiators is top notch. When mine was stock it swayed that affected steering a little upgraded the suspension with a lift and much better shocks and wider tires and it is amazing . I have been told that it handles like a sports car.
There is a guy works on this site here and has an Infiniti 2 door sport car. ( can't remember the model) and he and I will zoom 50-60 mph across some of the curviest roads you ever laid eyes on..make a dogs hind leg look straight.
And He always says D@#m that thing is impressive.
No I aint no salesman just a crazy hillbilly.
