Finally an update. Was told a 6/18 ship date, but hit production 2 days ago. Any idea what build time is? How long it takes? Just curious. Still no window sticker. Still not convinced ship date actually means ship date.

Build scheduled for 6/18, then 6/17.
Still in "Scheduling" phase as of this morning on Jeep Order Tracking site. Hopefully an interesting update tomorrow!

Initial ship date is actually when the body, or perhaps frame? Goes to assembly. It's typically within a day of the date on the door jamb decal that gives final assembly date. A couple days tops for the most part, but the truck gets sent to the vendor areas for bed liner, tonneau cover, that sort of thing.
If it said 6/18 ship date, you can expect the sticker to say something like 6/19 as final assembly date - although that could vary these days with things so messed up.
I'm not seeing if "hitting production" refers to the body production date, or when the body and frame are married.

Are you near Pennsylvania by any chance? Just wondering if thats why we have the same delivery date or if its generic

I'm outside Detroit. The dealership is maybe 2 hours from the Toledo plant, so I'm assuming it won't ever get on a train. Perhaps it's a standard assumption...?

Also, did you order a stick? EDIT: Never mind, you said it's a diesel

Interesting. I've noticed other guys here with JTs that are being built around right now with estimated delivery dates of TBD and and end of July.

Mine went from 7/9 to 6/29. Presumably they temporarily use a standard estimate before some actual scheduling takes place. I suspect it could change again as they get trucks sequenced.

Wow, yours went from ordered to scheduled in under 2 weeks. Mine took a full month just to be scheduled, and still says TBD over 2 weeks after being scheduled.

There is obviously some sort of plan behind it, but it seems so random otherwise.
