You got it buddy. I’m booked for the first flight to Nashville in the morning. I’ll do my best to find your truck at Gupton and get some pictures for you.
@Tedster sent me a few yesterday. Appreciate the offer. Hope to swing through Gupton on Saturday or Monday. Is everyone making appointments for pickup or just popping in?

Need to make an appointment, especially on the weekend. They are a small operation and get swamped easily.

I would wait for Renee to contact you, she usually will reach out and set one up when the truck is ready.

Renee let me know it was in stock. I asked if we could do early next week but haven't heard back for ~48 hours.

Unfortunately my plans to pick up my truck at Gupton on Saturday fell through.
But another member was kind enough to send me photos of my new Jeep. Ha.

It's really awesome that enough of us buy through Gupton and are nice enough people to spend a couple minutes to go find someone elses truck on the lot for them and grab a pic. Says alot about this forum in general.

Part of it is probably the overhwelming excitment of seeing and picking up your JT that you really want to share the love. It was for me at least.

I agree 100%.

For me its a bigger deal than for many here. It seems like a lot of members flip cars every couple of years. Next year they will be on the Raptor site after they buy one of those.

But I haven't had a truly fun everyday driver since my wife and I started having kids in 08.
I have a sneaky feeling you may be in a similar boat. (your sig shows an Odyssey, ha).

I also tend to keep my cars for a long time. So I won't be replacing the Gladiator for a while.

Sold a '17 GTI to carmax when I got the JT so I did have a fun daily driver but I didn't really take advantage of its positives (fast and fun) and was limited by its negatives (small). The JT is far and away the most fun vehicle I've ever owned and all I've used it for is regular car stuff so far.

I generally keep my cars for 10+ years. Made an exception for the JT. Every vehicle I purchase is "The last vehicle I'll ever own" so I try to make them ones I like. The wife drives the Odyssey and that's the last vehicle she'll ever have...

Agreed. I'm hoping to pick mine up on Saturday or Monday so if I can snap photos for anyone, let me know!

I feel the same. For my wife and I this is a big deal. I had a JK when we met. One day a guy ran a red light and hit us. Totaled. After, we had a long commute. I bought a GTI for that. I really liked that car. We discovered Dave Ramsey shortly after that. A lady hit the GTI and totaled it too. It gave us enough to pay cash for a Ford Focus. After two years of debt elimination we began to save for the truck. This will be a milestone for us. I’ve had some sort of Jeep in my life since I was little. I’ll be glad to be back in one.

Well now I have to ask - does that mean you're paying cash for the JT? I like some of Dave's philosophy, but a lot of it doesn't make sense to me.

Ha. Dave Ramsey has helped a lot of people. But some of what he advises is not smart
finance !!!-IF-!!! you have the discipline to work thing properly.

Specifically credit cards and car loans. Credit cards - pay them to zero they are better than debit cards. You are using someone else's money for free. Car loans because my car loan will cost me about 3%/yr. If my investments are earning 8% /yr then I should finance as much as I can.

But if you don't have the discipline to pay your CC to zero every month and invest your extra income then his ways make a ton of sense. They anticipate the human weakness.

Some of his stuff seems to not make sense but once applied it works. Think financial security instead of getting rich and it helps. At least it did with me.

Does Gupton do any deals with the Mopar accessories? I am looking at ordering a Gladiator soon and will want to add a few add-ons. Wasn't sure if I should do that with a dealership at time of purchase or not. Anyone have any experience with that?

I get it. People turn to him often because they have a history of irresponsible spending and credit abuse. For them, it makes sense. But if you are disciplined, there are better ways to do things.

Debit cards are a nightmare for a number of reasons. But they are less of a nightmare than being a slave to credit card debt.

I ordered a bunch or Mopar stuff with my Gladiator through Gupton (headliner, sills, tonneau cover, bedliner). They also accommodated my request to move up to 35’s right off the bat. The service guy (Matt) was super helpful. I think they are pretty busy so it’s hard for them to get a lot done, but I was really happy with everything they did for me.
