I was wondering how long it would be before somebody posted something stupid like this. I will put quality LED bulbs installed in halogen housings against your setup any day of the week.

The problem is that people buy junk off ebay or Amazon.
His comment is not stupid.
Putting aftermarket bulbs in halogen housings is cheap and trashy.
Save up and get OEM LED’s or a quality aftermarket housing.

I never see aftermarket bulbs bothering me while driving at night. It’s always the idiots that run with their high beams on, with their expensive OEM technology. Nothing wrong with quality aftermarket bulbs in these halogen lights. It’s definitely not trashy. I’ve still got the factory halogen bulbs which suck but I’ve never seen this internet myth you speak of.

Don’t take it personally. Of the handful of things ive learned on this forum. Ive definitely learned a lot of members are light nerds.

I’ll happily be trashy with my sv4 LED bulbs in my halogen housing. Never once been flashed or had a single concern with “cut off”

I have been slowly shopping LED replacements for my Gladiator for several weeks now and I definitely have waited too long. I was running at 75 down 281 on Monday night and I hit a ~200 lb hog. The worst part is that I didn't even see it until maybe a second before impact. I know that it is a black animal on a desolate stretch of unlit highway, but I can't help but think that I could have avoided it if I had LED headlights. Now if I can just keep from another incident before the Black Friday sales start.

Let me know if anyone hears about a good special coming up. I planned on buying Oracle, but could be talked into others.
been happy as all heck with their oculus

Got some LEDs installed and they are great. Now if I can just find the cause of the steering knock when I turn.

I got my new LEDs installed and they work great. Much better. I have a little bit of flicker on high beams. I still have the halogens everywhere else for now. Can I have a dealer reflash it or do I need to wait until I have LEDs everywhere?

What would they have to reflash?

My understanding is that LEDs run at a lower amperage.
