Is there a reason you didn't put the trim piece on the from edge of rear portion? With freedom panels off the wind may curl that front edge

When I finished the install, I thought they just gave you extra edge trim. Didn't realize the extra length was for that. I have since installed that edge trim.

How much of the Kilmat did you use?
I didn't go full coverage, about 95% is my guess. Just the large flat-ish surfaces. If one or two un cut sheets are enough to cover most of the surface, that's all I used. I also used the OEM MOPAR headliner as a template.

I went through a half box of these. More than enough if you want to go full coverage.

I covered just about the same amount as this Glad owner...

So now that you have transitioned from the Mopar headliner to the Coverking with your kilmat additions, What would you say the ROI is? I definitely can see it is better but how much better? Is it worth the additional cost in hours and price vs Mopar or Hotheads from a performance perspective?

CoverKing vs Mopar, no comparison, CoverKing FTW.

Hotheads, from what I've seen on YouTube, are thicker versions of Mopar headliners with a hand full of sound deadening strips. Better than Mopar but not as good as CoverKing.

Also CoverKing just looks better. All worth the expense, time, and effort.

I went with HotHeads two years ago and love them!
Like them better than the CoverKing because they don’t cover everything. I don’t have to worry about dirty hands when taking the top off, you only touch the exposed plastic which wipes clean.

i also used the CoverKing Topliner.
the instructions were non-existent, but there are plenty of guides around online.
seems like most headliner options are good and allow the use of sound-deadening materials.
i preferred to have all visible areas covered uniformly, and that's what led me to the Topliner.

at the end of the day...i think any option is good enough to be honest.
the gladiator is so loud to begin with, so a better (ie. aftermarket) sound setup will do worlds more for improving the noises you hear vs any others attempts at reducing noise...especially once those doors/top come off.

I used the Hotheads with the sound assassin strips which was the only option to the MOPAR liners at the time I installed them. I believe, I would use the CoverKing Topliner if I were installing them today. I like the coverage and look. I believe the comfort and sound may be better too.
