Don't forget to look at weight of the tire as well. The power loss is very real on my JTR going from the Wildpeak A/T to the Nittos 35s as the engine is keeping much higher revs in all situations be it driving 75 or accelerating to compensate. If you are not going fast in the desert I guess it doesn't matter anyways. Averaging 13.5MPGs right now. I can only get over 15 if I don't go over 55MPH
Very true and I will be getting something between 60-65lbs. Weight is a huge factor. Does anyone know how much the stock Mojave alloy wheels weigh?

Hey All,

New guy here that is about to take delivery of my brand new ‘21 Mojave. She’s in transit now and I’m considering an upgrade to 35” tires while maintaining the factory FOX suspension.

What I want to achieve:
  • Meatier looking tires
  • A little bit more ground clearance
  • Keep the cool suspension I paid for
  • Avoid any rubbing, even at full flex
  • Stick with an AT tire, if possible, due to snow
Options I’m considering:
  1. Nitto Trail Grappler 35x11.5R17 tires only on stock Mojave wheels - ~$1600
  2. Gladiator specific AEV Savegre II with 35x12.5R17 BFG KO2 - ~$2900
  3. Nothing - leave it alone it looks nice as it is. - $free
Open to other tire choices as well, but to get the most out of the stock suspension/clearances.

Also does anyone have a nice before/after picture of 33 to 35 with no lift to compare?

Thanks in advance!

What did you end up doing? (Selfishly I’m hoping Option 2, as I have/love Savegre wheels and want to see a pic of them on a Gladiator.)

Running 35x12.50x17 KM3s on AEV wheels for both JT and JK ... ran KM2s on JK and TJ previously. Love the stance, performance manners, and wear.

I ended up going for option 2 and they look outstanding! A 2” spacer lift is also in the works for a little extra clearance :). I’ll post some pics in a few.

Having 35x11.50r17 Nitto Trail Grapplers mounted this morning. I’ll post some comparison pics when it’s finished. Here are a few. I really like the stance and look.

I really like how AT’s ride, however after a couple of months I wanted a more aggressive look with capability in the Georgia clay.

i am running 35's on mine, no issues at all, looks a lot better. 37's would be great to but i pull a small trailer and struggles a bit. so the 35's work perfect. i went with the new 4wheel parts tire. its a perfect combo for me and my driving. no noise, very smooth, great traction in snow
