Same exact setup here and I actually gained a 2 or 3 MPG increase and it feels like it has a little more pep. You experience the same? I know the stock Falkens were heavy, but?
I gotta say my mileage has never been good. Best I can do is 19mpg but usually run around 17.. No difference with the Toyo's. I guess my driving style is not very efficient. But I didn't get the truck for its economy so I don't complain.

No need to regear. I get 20-21 mpg on Summer blend quite easily, and 8th gear is typical on the highway. Winter blend drops me to 19.

How do you get 20-21… I can’t even get your winter 19 ??‍♂

My Rubicon is on 35's and 3inch lift it came with oem 4:10 gear set. You are good till you go up to 37's

I absolutely was not good on 4.10's when I went to 35s with the manual. I went to 4.63 (long story on the gear...) and am glad I did. If I had any desire to go 37's, I would have done a bit more, maybe 5.13. 35 is more than enough for a daily driver with occasional overlanding.

I test drove a 24 Mojave with these (pic) and the transmission seemed to struggle finding 8th gear. The Mojave only had 70 miles on it so, I guess I’m wondering if the engine just takes time to adjust? Pardon my ignorance 😔

thoughts?

I've run heavy 35's for over 70k miles. I see 8th gear on level ground but you start going up and it drops to 7th pretty quick.

Too many variables. Was the computer updated for the larger tires? What speeds were you running? Up hill/down hill? Headwind? Tailwind? On 37s and 4.10s I still see 8th, but it can't be the slightest up hill or headwind or speeds under 60mph. Anything that even slightly increases load and it cruises in 7th.

I took it on the interstate but there was definitely head-wind.
I’m not sure what computer calibrations were made.

i test drove the Rubicon on stock 33s and found it to be over geared. My personal sweet spot would likely be 4.88 and 35s with the 8 speed auto. I would want it to sit at 2200rpm at 70mph.

Any bigger tire and i would drop to 5.13.
