Here's a new issue I haven't heard of. To start the story, im at the dealer yesterday for the last of my Jeep Wave freebie, and the service guy tells me I need the fuel filter changed, every 1other oil change. Well I already did it around 12k. Then he starts in with I need the differentials changed. I've only had it in 4wd about 10 times so the front is prob good, and yeah, I'm at the 20k mark on the rear and shudda changed it by now. So I ask him how much, $280, holy shit, I will do it myself thank you. They pulled some out of the fill hole into a paper cup to show me it was dark...ok...yeah, ill take care of it. Then the big one, i have a major oil leak...WHAT?? I check my vehicles a LOT, and there's no leaks. Turns out its a turbo seal, getting oil carrying over into the CAC inlet. Its like they took the tube off looking for it as if there's another prob that owners are unaware of. Everything is sealed and no external leaks that I'm aware of. They are claiming the turbo has to be replaced, of course I'm assuming gaskets, drains and seals, etc. with some way to clean the tube and the CAC. I didn't see any of it and the service guy wasn't giving me much info, so I do t know what the story is. Has there been turbo oil seal issues? He said warranty covered and they have order parts. Not real pleased. ?
