As mentioned above - DO NOT USE A BRUSH - it will scratch the window

I would also be very cautious of using any chemical.

How do you get ice on the rear window?
Turning on the heat will warm up the vehicle to melt ice.
Buy a weather shield and hold it in place with the straps by putting through rear doors. Or a car cover. !
