Yeah... Blackstone UOA is good stuff (not that the third party shop did this), but a warranty is a two way street. You have to maintain some minimum maintenance schedule defined by the warranty.

Also noteworthy is the owners' manual existing ONLY in the infotainment system... It's like they're literally trying to keep people from reading it. What sane individual is going to sit in their car for however many hours it takes to get through however many hundreds of pages? Dumb. I think it was GM that went to digital, but you could still request a print copy free of charge. Not sure if this is the case here, but this is one of the stupider and more anti-consumer maneuvers in recent years.

Interesting, my 2022 came with a paper manual but I do not have the digital one on my 8.4". It was the opposite on my 2018 JL.

I think on "First Years" they tried to get away from the paper manuals. In time, I think they realized, people were not ready for that. It cost them more than just putting them in the vehicle.

I guess I should mention a caveat in my last statement. When I got my 2021 JT, the manual and the bag it was in I found under the back seat with all the other loose kit items like the tool kit. I think part of the prep, they are suppose to throw that in the glove box.

I could see some not making their way to the owners hands and being misplaced before delivery.

Honestly, that's the most shocking thing about this article... a 3rd party shop told him he could run it that long and not for 3,000 miles.

I document all of my service in my shop software whether I charge myself or not. I have to pay sales tax on the parts anyway, so it's an easy way to do that. I also have UOA's to prove the oils condition. This time I'm probably going past the 7000 miles oil life monitor says because the UOA came back to good last time and I've added 1 qt of oil probably due to the 4200 mile trip we did towing most of the way. 11% of the oil has been replaced already.

I also update my maintenance in the Uconnect app....not sure if they look at that or not. Wish I could trade the "Wave" oil change for credit on fuel/oil filters since I would never let the $tealer do it.

My sister and I had a competition of sorts. I made it to about 13k before changing oil, I think she was approaching 15k. VW 2.0 and Ford 5.4L

My 2020 Rubicon was a 05/19 build and I had the same setup with a paper OM.

Could be just a shortage thing with the OM and they are not going to hold up shipping for lack of one.
