Winch and kinetic rope are good for that too.
I agree 100%
I have a new in the box HF Badlands Apex 12,000 winch and a new RR steel front bumper to install.
I also have a 20' x7/8" kinetic rope that I bought from Amazon.
Can't afford the Yankum kinetic rope I really want at this time, however someday I will have one!
Do you have a winch and kinetic rope ready as well?

The question to y'all is how do you plan to use your Gladiator? Are any of you like me or are you going all out and really using it on extreme trails, rock crawls, etc?
I have a Mojave on order thats supposed to come in this month and I'm likely close to you in my use case. It's my first new vehicle and most definitely the most expensive one I've purchased to date. Will a DD first and fun activities second.

Primary use
- Will be the baby hauler and daily driven by my wife.

Secondary uses
- travel vehicle
- camping off the beaten path
- light to medium trails
- random occasions that I need a truck bed or towing

I'm definitely going to try to keep it as like new as possible. That being said, I still will likely go down trails and other places that might have a low chance of pinstriping but will do my best to avoid it. Light rock crawling might occur but mostly in scenarios where there is low risk (but not no risk) of breaking things. I'll likely never do any extreme rock crawling.

It's very similiar to how I view my current daily driver (Mazda Miata). I try to keep it as clean and as like new as possible but also try to have fun with it. I take it on open track days and autocross events regularly. Have I spun out on the track? Yes. Have I hit autocross cones and caused light marring on the paint? Yes. But I also draw the line somewhere, not taking it to the absolute limit on dangerous situations on the track where there is high potential for hitting a wall.

It's a truck, so I use it for hauling things.
It's a Jeep, so I use it for Jeep things - namely driving topless/doorless, using 4WD, and generally just enjoying life.

It's one of multiple vehicles we own. It's not our family hauler, it's not my exclusive commuter vehicle. It's... It's...

my precious.

Yes. Kinetic rope has been used multiple times. Having recently installed the winch, I'm looking forward to using that soon.

You live in TN. Go to Windrock one time and you will change your mind. You will love it and want to drive offroad all the time or your will sell the Jeep and buy a Prius.
May just have to go there, if they have easy trails. No never ever to a Prius...Bite your tongue...LOL!

I have a 2021 JTR and have a lot of money, for me anyway, tied up in just the price of it alone. This is an awesome vehicle for me and I try to take care of it. I bought it to take off road, however I do not want to rock crawl, or go through wet mud pits that are 2+ foot deep. I bought it to take it on old easy trails, like power line or forest roads and not get it all scratched up. Just enjoy the hilly trails and not take it really anywhere real difficult. I really don't want just a pavement princess as my son in law says many Jeeps are, however I want to keep it always like new if possible, yet still have fun with it. I do have a new winch, new front steel bumper, and a leveling kit to install. I will probably keep the stock 33" Falken tires on it for now.

The question to y'all is how do you plan to use your Gladiator? Are any of you like me or are you going all out and really using it on extreme trails, rock crawls, etc?

TIA for your replies!
It's a daily driver (did not intend that!! Figured it would barely get driven)
I bought it as a TRUCK to use as a truck to haul stuff, and to haul my car hauler around.
I'm in Iowa - rocks? Trails? Naw, mud and gravel and corn fields. Nothing here like a trail or rocks to crawl over.

Mine is my daily driver, but it is also a part of our hobby (my wife and I). We use it to tow our tiny camper (we go camping about once a month). We also go wheeling in it. We don't go on difficult rock crawls, but we do like hitting the dunes, running logging trails, and light rock crawling.

They do have easy trails which can be fun. And then they have really hard blacks. We usually do the stuff in the middle.

I never really expected to drive our jeeps off road as much as we do. It has become another one of our hobbies, though not a lifestyle. I would rather be on my bike pedaling up a mountain.

My JT is my daily driver, weekend warrior, and everything in between. It’s been pinstriped on trails, and washed, waxed and polished in the driveway. Sometimes I wash it regularly, sometimes it gets dusty and dirty till the rain washes it off. As long as you’re having fun and enjoying it for what it is, that’s all that matters. These things definitely aren’t cheap, and some people make them pavement princesses and some people beat the hell out of them. Either one is doing the most important thing; enjoying what they have no matter how they use it.
