Shopping for a used Gladiator, leaning towards a Mojave or Rubicon. I am finding that these seem to be tech loaded (blind spot, auto pilot cruise, heated seats/steering wheels, tech packages, etc. etc). I have found a few that also have zero options (outside what comes on the base Mojave/Rubicon).

Are you finding these tech packages to be reliable or not worth it? I would love a heated steering wheel, but could take or leave the rest.

What are your real world component and system failures? Looking for this to be a reliable daily and travel rig for a while.

We have the cross traffic sensors, the cold weather package and the inverter. While my tech hasn't failed, I know of a heated steering wheel that melted.
Your mileage may vary.

None of my tech on my 24 JT/M has crapped out yet. And yes, I also long for the days of a physical throttle body and wires, not chips.

Mine is a very well optioned 22 Mojave. I looked for a very long time to find it.

I don't rely on the autopilot because there's too much traffic around here to use cruise control frequently but when I have had the chance it's decent. Her Bronco Sport's will turn the wheel to follow the road so the bar is pretty high.

Jeep's accident alert works well. The Ford throws false alarms too frequently btw.

The blind spot light in the mirror is helpful but I don't rely on it.

Heated seats and steering wheel are a creature comfort I've grown quite fond of.

I haven't used the inverter yet, but I could see charging my tool batteries with it. I recall that because it's not pure sine you shouldn't charge a computer battery with it.

I also have SelecTrac. Based on my searches it wasn't a common option before it was restricted to the X. Ive used it a little in hard rain but this winter will give it a proper go.

Front camera I use all the time. I'm 6'1" but can't see over the hood so tight parking lots and crawling trails makes it worth the price of admission. You can add that in the aftermarket relatively inexpensively and a few have retrofitted the OEM but thats pricey. Search for the threads here.
