Far too many wives act as though they are your mother. "My wife won't let me _____"I'd be pissed.
And I'd tell my wife she doesn't tell me what to do.

I agree. I have 25,000 plus on my Glad/Rubi and not one single problem. And if I had a dealer that was giving me shit, I'd drop them..... too....If you really like the gladiator like I do mine which is problem free at this point with 18 thousand miles I would just get rid of the wife you can get another one of them maybe even a younger one just my thoughts

I mean, Just playing the devils advocate here but your values aren't necessarily our values. Everyone sees things different. Best way to go about things is to respect everyone's opinion. The wife over jeep thinkers such as yourself is fine as well as the jeep over wife folks. I just don't see how telling everyone how they are supposed to conduct themselves helps anything. Hell I suppose I understand it, I mean I'm doing it right now. Just wanted to get this opinion on the matter about it out of my head for all to see. Will it change anyone's mind here? Nope, as long as it isn't directly hurting anyone outright then opinions, jokes and anything else is just that. Someone writing down what is in their head at the moment that I would say is just for a little entertainment.Sounds like you respect your wife. Good call.
As for the rest of you talking garbage about somebody’s marriage over a car, you should all be ashamed.
I’m so tired of reading posts disparriaging wives and marriages.
Dump the Jeep, keep the wife.
Nothing more important than family. I also don’t want to hear “it’s just a joke.” Jokes have a way of slowly eroding our values. And nothing should erode our most cherished.
If you think I’m wrong you better be able to stand your ground to a strong Husband and Father.
Now how about some good responses to Elpaids post about his f’n Jeep.
"Also, odds are her favorite Toyota, Honda, or Subaru is made here in "America". "First of all, tell your wife it's YOUR truck and she can get a pastel Prius if she wants.
With that said, EVERY vehicle manufacturer has issues with new vehicles. Not just "American" made.

I'd be checking into the free loaner vehicle. Don't know which dealer in Indiana you bought from or took it to, but I believe the loaner is covered in the warranty.
jokes exist because there is an element of truth to them. Humor is subjective. I love my wife, couldn’t imagine a world without her, however, we give a lot of authority to our wives as mothers. They frequently let that bleed over and attempt to use that authority when it should be equal decision making. Right or wrong that’s reality, and jokes about it make sense. If a vehicle decision is making or breaking your marriage then get the divorce, that’s a damn weak marriage.I also don’t want to hear “it’s just a joke.”
Sounds like the internet may not be the best place for you lol. Maybe a college campus "safe space"?Sounds like you respect your wife. Good call.

Technically it’s not an American Vehicle anymore, it’s owned by Fiat. Chrysler products have been plagued with reliability issues for many years. I had one where the front end fell out from underneath me while stopping. The drive shaft disconnected as well. Chrysler wouldn’t cover the costs of repair since it was previously fixed under recall & it then failed. I swore id never own a Chrysler product again. I hoped they had improved & it’s a Jeep so I purchased a 2021 Gladiator JTR, so far so good but it’s experience’s like this that make me wonder. My wife has weighed in already, “I told you so!” She seemed to like my new Gladiator 11 months ago when I bought it, she really enjoyed driving the back roads with me with the tops and doors off. She was even sympathetic at first when I called to tell her the gladiator was broken down and I wasn’t sure if I could get home. But after much trial and error I found that if I disconnected BOTH batteries I could clear enough faults to limp home. So it sat in our driveway for several days with batteries disconnected until the service dept could get it in. It wasn’t until I told her that service said it will take 3 weeks to get the valve body in that she started in with “I told you so!” She remembers the only other American vehicle I ever bought, 25 years ago when we were first married. After that experience I swore I’d never buy another American vehicle. But when I saw the Gladiator last year it reminded me of my grandfather’s Willys truck and we test drove the gladiator. Now my wife tells me that when and if they get it repaired I am to sell it immediately, take my losses and buy a Tacoma or something similar. The dealer won’t even give me a loaner so I’m going to be probably a month without my truck, which usually I drive every day. I even called my salesman from dealer thinking he might value customer satisfaction and repeat customers. I told him that there must be a part available somewhere, probably in Kokomo which is only 50 miles from here, even if it needs to come out of a new transmission. I said he could make calls, tell them - Hey! This is my customer! Jeep doesn’t treat customers this way! I want that valve body ASAP!
Sorry Charlie, not gonna happen. He was peeved because I woke him up in bed at 9:30 AM.
She might want to rethink that one. I've had far less issues with my gladiator than my 2017 Tacoma did. 2.5 years of owning it gave me an underpowered engine, transmission that was always hunting for gears, rear axle whining noise, cam sensor recall, frame rust recall, and a full repaint of the cab and front end due to a defect in the paint. all of that was in less than 40k miles. Toyota has been dead nuts reliable in the past, but I think they are resting a bit too much on their laurels with the newer stuff. Now my wife tells me that when and if they get it repaired I am to sell it immediately, take my losses and buy a Tacoma or something similar.
