Would having an extended warranty help at all in this situation or is this....an SOL, you need a new engine and are going to pay every penny for one situation?

I would think if you had an extended 100k powertrain warranty, this would be covered. It doesn't matter that your dealership changed hands, or even that you use the same dealership.
That invoice or estimate indicates a third party independent 4x4 shop is involved, which would be foolish and ill-advised unless you've exhausted all Jeep options and appeals.
The Main was probably killing the Aux.I went to another private place for the first time...because the dealerships never solved anything for me, they changed three times in the same year ,auxiliary battery because the star/stop didn’t work
Be a shame if it also had an oil leak and caught on fire.
