If you had to pick ONE lighting mod to recommend… what’s the move?

Curious to hear what people think here! If you had to recommend one lighting upgrade to someone new to modifying their Gladiator, what would it be? Not necessarily the flashiest option, just the one that made the biggest real-world difference for you. Could be anything: headlights, fogs, ditch lights, rock lights, grille lights, etc.

For those who have done multiple upgrades, which one actually changed the way you drive or use the vehicle the most? Interested to hear what people would pick and why!

I was lucky that my Gladiator that I bought used came with the LED headlight package. My previous Jeep, a TJ, had halogen lights. I would say LED headlights are the best upgrades you can do. They make a huge difference when driving at night.

There are a lot of lighting upgrades that make a difference certainly, but especially on an elevated vehicle like the Gladiator, LED headlamps all day long.

I've had 2 Gladiators with 2 very different experiences...

• 2020 Sport S with halogens: can't see sh#t.
• 2024 Jeep Beach Edition with LEDs: can actually see sh#t.

If I could only choose one I’d do a combo type light bar of the front bumper. To me that’s the most useful light you can have. Something with a good spread and a good throw in amber.

The one item I would address over all others, are the feeble halogen headlight bulbs bulbs that come standard. Even IF LED’s are illegal, there are higher output bulbs that are legal. For the $$$ Jeep asks the LED should be standard! With proper head/fog bulbs there is no need for any other on the roadways.

I had the Oracle Skid Plate Light Bar (in yellow) and then changed it out for the Diode Dynamics SS30 Amber Combo light bar. Both solutions provided the solution to the problem of cutting through rain/snow while driving without using the fog lights. Powered by the VosSwitch JL300. Adding amber/yellow is the required add to the lighting.

My Willys has the LED lights which is fine for me but I wanted some lighting around the truck.
Got some rock lights from amazon for $100 for 12. They have worker great.
I mounted 2 on each side and 2 for the back leaving me with some spares.
Mounted them on the side of the frame.

I want to be seen & noticed when driving.
I have been involved in a high number of collisions over the past 30 years of driving with a CDL in the NOLA area from the I-10/610 split, the high rise & lost two cars @ the I-10/I-12 junction.
Even been hit by others ignoring rural stop signs near Picayune, MS.
I drive conspicuous vehicles with bright adornments with lights on @ all times.
I love the contrast of the LED amber fog lights with the LED driving lamps.
I have multiple cameras recording while driving.
The dash cams have saved exculpatory evidence to my advantage.
As a former motorcyclist with almost 200k miles on two wheels, being seen is a victory in the battle of a continuing war of survival.
When approaching an area that requires caution, lights are usually easily observed if illuminated.
I use the same survival techniques of observation that served me on two wheels when operating four now.

lights with bright reverse light , it is more important to me then all the other options , huge difference when backing up….Jack

Reverse bumper lights. Love mine but my neighbor across the street probably doesn’t LOL
