Hello, I’ve been rock crawling for over 20 years and was pretty active on the old Pirate forum back in the day. I bought me a Mojave last week and so far I’m loving it. I probably won’t be doing much wheeling in it as it’s going to be my daily driver. I currently have three Jeeps but will be selling my crawler and my TJ Rubicon. I thought I’d introduce myself here, so I’m saying hi.

Welcome.

I see you also have 3 Jeeps in your family as I do ('99, '16', '24). According to the wife, we have to send the '99 (we call him TJ) to college. It will be a sad day, I am sure, but we simply need the space.

Welcome to the forum and there is a lot to learn here. You can start asking what is the best oil and brand to use in your Jeeps. Everyone here will appreciate your interest.

Good luck.

It's a 23 High Altitude just bought some all terrain tires for it that will be here this week sometime this week. Would love to see some other High Altitudes some mods done to them! Thanks for letting me join!

Greetings from Northern Colorado.

Ms Grumpers has a 2023 Sport S with the max tow package and has her heart set on pulling a travel trailer with a total GVWR of 5,500 lbs. Her truck has the 3.6L with the 8 speed auto & 4.10 gears. She and I are both use to big diesels so the high revving 3.6 is new to us.

When I derate the advertised 7,700 towing capacity by 30%, 5,500 is the limit. We recently pulled our 7'x14' enclosed trailer that weighs 2,500lbs empty and running 4-5k rpm to keep up with traffic on the flat is unnerving, not to mention disappointing.

We are here to learn more about available performance mods that are financially practical, to see if pulling 5,500lbs is even realistic.

Thanks in advance for help with my questions ahead.

These 3.6L V6 are a higher revenge engine . The high side of the cam doesn't kick in till about 3000rpm and max HP is around 4300rpm. You was in thd sweet spot which is what the computer is doing for you when it is sensing more torque need it down shifts and hold you in the sweet spot. Dont sweat it .. Enjoy it . I am positive you're not towing like that repetitively. 7x14 that only weighs 2500 wow 👌 that must be a light weight model. At any rate . Your fine.

Hello all.

My Jeep turns 4 in a couple days with 85k+ on the clock.

It's been a lot of fun.

Hello, I’m long time Jeep guy. My first Jeep was a 1958 CJ3b. I just traded my 4xe Rubicon for a Mojave. This makes my ninth Jeep over the past 35 years. I went with a Mojave over a Rubicon. I do think Jeep should make a Wrangler Mojave.
