yes. It was a 1998 IIRC. We had the SLT trim with leather, second row AC, third row seating and the 5.9L V8. She was a gas hog. We didn’t do a lot of hard-core off-roading with it, but it took me everywhere I needed to go. It was a great family car, but we were too poor to keep up with it when things started failing and the rust was the death knell. I hardly see any of them on the road around here anymore. They aren’t like the GMT800s that just refuse to die.

That makes much more sense, thanks. That's when they were based on the Dakota and more truck than SUV.

The GMT800s are the last of the do anything, anywhere, all the time trucks. Modern GM trucks are mechanical and electrical nightmares. Both of my sisters have Yukon XLs and my dad has a Sierra Denali. They spend too much time in the shop, more than my BMW.

Jeep isn't innovating?

What about the new 3.0L supercharger kits Mopar just announced, and the Bumblebee TRX thing? 900 horsepower and a factory warranty??? Raptor have anything like that that doesn't sound like a bag of angry bumblebees?
Jeep/Stellantis/Mopar is just fine.
And let's not forget all those other companies are offering "poser" off-roaders. We have a straight axle, so Jeep is the only one that is true to its beginnings.

The frustrating part is who, and how Jeep is managed. I do not care if they hear me or see my words. Stellantis sucks. They suck bad. They only see spread sheets, and do not understand their customers. The have a great product that sells itself with Wrangler and Gladiator. They think they can dazzle customers who want two doors, 35s, and v8s into shutting up with colors and stickers. Funny they do not even offer Red as a color anymore. The base no cost colors should be red, white, and blue. I am sick of the BS. No v8 because it might hurt someone's feelings at the tree hugging event, trying to electrify something that goes off the grid. Hello McFly, no electricity in the woods. How did electrifying go for Dodge? NOT WELL is the answer you should be saying. You took two cars that sold decently and replaced them with ev junk costing double. Chrysler has a minivan. Ram can't get a v8 in a 1500 truck. So you are nothing more than environmentalist posing as investors. Well, that shit does not work for me. I love my gladiator, but I can say the Stellantis group is nothing but a pile of shit. Get off my lawn suck bags.
