is it a rubicon without the rubicon sticker across the hood?

Just about ready to pull the trigger on a used Nice gladiator with all the bells and whistles... it does not have a rubicon sticker on the side of the hood. makes me think it is a souped up overland. How to tell?

offroad-plus/lockers buttons in front of the shifter is one way. Run the VIN number on Jeeps website is the sure way, it will list out all the options, and probably even show you the digital copy of the window sticker.

Indeed, I've yet to hear of a rubi owner stripping off their badge . Myself included. Interested to see if someone did that.

Are you sure a Rubi is the right model/trim for you? Are you going to take it off road and do some difficult stuff?

If I’m questioning if it’s a Rubi, first thing I’d do is look for 2 locker buttons. Then look at the front sway bar to see if it has an electric disconnect.

If it passes both, run the VIN and double check.

If you aren't even sure what model you're looking at I suggest you learn a bit more abouy Jeeps before pulling the trigger!

Oh I've seen plenty, but only if they replaced it with their own jeep name.

Is the dash red? 2020-2023 Rubicon has a matte finish red dash.

Silver or gunmetal is also a dash color option on a Rubicon.

well...I own a 2016 JKUR, a 2018 JKUR and a 2020 JTR and none of them have the Rubicon sticker on them...

On the left is my wife's and she wanted hers completely debadged.
In the middle, is my JKUR and it is debadged an has an aftermarket hood sticker on it:

And the JTR on the right, still said Rubicon in the pic but now says:

And it has a "bonus" badge:
