Hi guys,
My Gladiator has done a front axle seal on rhs after 60,000km (40,000 miles).

I noticed online you can buy greasable axle seals for Jk's...is there something similar for 2022 JT Rubicons with with pentastar v6 engine like in the image below?

Oh also, mine is the Australian version with front CV's

I don't know if they make them for the Advantek D44, but they are worthless.

If you get an inner seal leak, you won't know. And they trap crap inside the tubes.
I was kinda hoping for an added layer of protection cause I've done an inner rhs front axle seal and it's about 6-8 hours work for me to pull the diff center out and replace them.

I just figured it would be a lot easier to pull and axle and change this type of aftermarket modification?

These aren't a substitute for the inner seals. You still have to run inner seals with these.

The intended use for these is to keep debris out of the axle tubes.

I wasnt suggesting replacing inner axle seals with these...the point was, if i add these on the outer tubes (in addition to the existing factory setup), these would reduce the amount of muddy sediment that gets into the inner seals and causes them to prematurely fail.

Muddy water acts like a liquid abrasive...so naturally one would want to limit the chances of said material getting anywhere near the inner diff housing where it can do a great deal of damage!

The idea is an added layer of protection.

I realise that there is the potential for these to leak and trap stuff inside the axle tubes, however, that happens anyway...so i dont see that argument as a reason not to use the terraflex product (outer axle tube seals).

I have front RCV shafts. I actually asked RCV if their version of outer seals is a good idea. They said the same thing @Wheelin98TJ said. The support person I talked to said he doesn’t run them on his own rig. He wants to know if he has an inner seal leak. He only recommends them to people who go through salt or brackish water a fair amount.
Or constant mudding.

Given my profile picture, that would be my case I think. We have lots of top of the tyre depth mud holes here where I do most of my 4wding.

You might want them then. I think I’d remove them from time to time to make sure stuff doesn’t get trapped in there.

attached is a copy of the Jeep Dealership Service report from this morning as well as a close up image of the leak.

I have to question if the mechanics really looked at this carefully because the fluid in the image below doesnt look like CV shaft grease leaking to me, it looks like oil.

TIL the Aussies get CV front axles. I wonder if I can order those in the US and swap them in.

You would be able to get them for US vehicles. didn't i see a youtube video somewhere where the conversion was already done? Way-a-life or someone like that (i had to insert "-" because the moderators here seem to like banning good resources from these forums!)

All gladiators and JLs with the 4hi Auto transfer case get front cv axles. So you can order them from here. But I’m guessing RCV would be cheaper than mopar. @AllMoparParts.com (Benny) can get you part numbers for your jeep.
