Where do you get 3500 pounds and 7500 pounds? Are you talking towing capacity?Perhaps you have a great one and all of them are like that. Again, not my experience in an GCL 4xE and 3,500lbs is a bit different than 7,500lbs. Most of my experience was highway driving and I didn’t break into the 20mpg for the 2 weeks of usage without towing a lb. My average on the 3.0L is 24mpg and 18-20mpg towing 3,000lbs. Again different experiences than yours I’m sure. Enjoy what you have.
I'm comparing our empty JLU 4xe to an empty JT, with the JLU weighing a bit more empty than my JT.
Can't compare diesel either - I actually have lower fuel costs with the 3.6 most of the time if I compare actual real lift true mpg numbers between diesel and gas in the same vehicle. A JT gasser vs a JT diesel - fuel costs are a wash, or I"m a penny ahead. Then add the other costs.
On the other hand, a 4xe JT would have the torque and power topping the V8
