And this is why I will never order a vehicle. I buy what I can find local to me that I am interested in. I hate ordering stuff and sometimes paying extra for faster shipping and the item which shows is in stock doesn't ship for days or a week.

I hope you get your Jeep soon and are happy with it but I would have cancelled a long time ago

There is no way I would take that Mojave , something is wrong there. Refuse the order if deposit. Get it back and switch to a different dealership.
Sometimes the problem is in dealerships.
How is it the dealerships fault?

I feel like they would go to bat for the OP and also ensure he gets to 14k in reduced price he was supposed to get. Me and that dealership would be done âś” If it is about the customer and that dealership doesn't want it smeared all over town what they did to him then they better be making waves at stellantis and Jeep in a big way. If he already paid . Get a lawyer. I would blow it way out of proportion till someone listened.

The problem is the dealership has pretty much no control on how it ships and when it is delivered. The best they can do is maybe get current status to the customer.

The dealership also is not going to absorb a $14K incentive because Stellantis corporate controls that money and pays out to the dealership when the vehicle is actually sold and delivered. That pot of money is not sitting around the dealership beforehand.

Go around town and making a spectacle about something the dealership has no control over really is not going to accomplish anything or move the needle in a positive direction.

Uhh, first off, what did the dealership "do to him"?

Second, I don't think Koons is refusing to "go to bat" for him, they're just stuck in the same waiting game.

Third, none of what you're getting aggressive over has happened anyway.

So why are we going nuclear on a dealership? Bit of an overreaction at this point, no?

He can refuse it and go to another dealer, but that won't change the pricing or available incentives. Then he is back at square one after waiting a year for a custom order.

The dealer can do nothing to speed up delivery. Once Jeep drops it on the delivery lot, they no longer have any control over it. The vehicle, dealer, Jeep, and customer are subject to the whims of the delivery company, who are only accountable to get it to the dealer intact.

Dealer says it's en route. Tracker does not show "shipped" but we know how unreliable the tracker is.

I won't get into details but Koons is going above and beyond now to help me.
Yeah if Craig and crew at Koon's says its enroute, you should be good to go.

Mine was at the dealer before all the trackers showed it shipped.

The shipping company owns the lot?

@JeepCares I ordered my 6MT Gladiator Mojave nearly 12 months ago, on 2/1/23 through @Koons_of_Tysons_Corner.
My truck did not begin production until 12/5/23 and was marked as "built" on 12/22/23.

From there, Jeep decided to put my truck in the lot (Toledo - Nitro Creek).
I thought sold orders were supposed to take priority? The General Sales Manager at Koons has been in touch with the factory, trying to get them to ship the truck, but for some reason, this is going nowhere. The truck has been on the shipment lot for 20 days. Meanwhile, Koons receives dealer inventory on a regular schedule.

Has anyone experienced anything this absurd? I'd been waiting for my damn truck for nearly a YEAR, and Jeep has continued to prioritize EVERY other order over mine. I understand Stellantis has thousands of vehicles to manage daily, but how can it be possible that they have consistently screwed me and my sold order over on every possible occasion?

There are members in this forum who ordered a 6MT Gladiator in AUGUST (6 months after me) and received theirs in late December.
This is complete nonsense.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Any advice? I'm at the end of my wits and I'm preparing to just cancel the order and ask for a refund.
They did that to me too in 2022.

Get tough with the dealer and demand a refund or your truck. I would push for the refund because they have already dropped the ball. Go to another dealership and get one off of the lot. It all sounds fishy to me.

The shipping company owns the lot?
Doesn't matter who owns the lot. Once Jeep turns it over to the shipper, it is out of their hands. They contract with the shipper to handle delivery. Jeep doesn't micro-manage or try to speed up delivery. If they did try, it would raise contract and liability issues that would then involve the lawyers.
