The issue here is, there were delays because of the clutch recall, and then the UAW strike... but when the plants got back up and running, Jeep did not prioritize the oldest orders. They screwed over the people who had waited the longest.

I'm not going to attach all the emails and screenshots of the 5-6 missed estimated build dates, or the estimated arrival dates for some guy who just doesn't believe me.

My dealer has been trying to reason with factory reps.
I received a message from @JeepCares informing me they have requested my case manager call me with more info. Believe me, she's NOT going to call me. I've been on the phone with Jeep Cares probably 30 times in the past year trying to get some answers.

And now that my truck is finally built, Jeep is shipping out all the 2024 6MT Wranglers that were ordered as recently as last month.

Don't blame that on a shipping shortage. LOL.... the issue is there is a failure on Jeep's part for anyone to solve this problem in a reasonable manner. Instead, they let loyal customers' orders fall victim to their faulty & obviously outdated "system".

@tarndesigns is looking for advice or knowledge from someone who might have experience in this matter. Unfortunately, I do not. But my advice would be to cancel the order, retrieve the deposit, and file a complaint wherever applicable(BBB, etc...). I know I wouldn't be willing to wait as long as you have. I wish the best of luck to you and hope that you can get it resolved ASAP.

Here's some nice data for the naysayers.

Go here:
https://e-shop.jeep.com

Search for Gladiators, In Stock, Nation Wide, with a Manual transmission... And then tell me how many have a VIN higher than mine (last 6 digits: 549833). It'll take you a while.

If that doesn't prove my truck was built after, or shipped after non-sold orders, I don't know what to tell you.

I understand there are reasons for delays. I understand certain order options can cause delays.
...but this is beyond explanation at this point.

All I was saying is that there is clearly some missing information here. Even went so far as to say it's probably not you or anyone else you've dealt with that purposefully withholding it. If that's enough to ruffle feathers, I don't know what else can be said. The sad truth is that everything you're pointing at currently is circumstantial at best and it's hard to say or give any advice when that's all you've got. Yes it looks bad, yes it's shitty, but it's also incomplete. Nothing wrong with admitting it's all these things combined.

I also get why you're upset. If you can't get anywhere with them, cancel it. It feels to me like you're banging your head against the wall hoping it'll break through one day. Don't.

My truck has been in KZP status for 20 days. It's been sitting on a lot.
If you look up that exact code, it means it has been sent offsite for a vendor install of something ordered for the truck.

A KZ code means it is sitting in a shipping lot, awaiting transport, and the receiving dealer has been billed for the vehicle.

Sorry, it is in KZ Status. Was KZP prior to that. Been at the lot since 12/22 and is marked as "shippable"

This is probably no help, but why don’t you just cancel if you’re not happy with Jeep. It’s going to leave a sour taste the whole time you own the vehicle. The dealership should understand the frustration and return the deposit if there was one.

cancel and move on. Nothing would entice me to take delivery after all of that.

You have to get it out of your head that vehicle shipping is not a first in, first out affair. Once it hits the factory lot for shipping, it is taken over by a totally different process of logistics and different assigning priorities. It gets more complicated if it ships by rail.

There has been people that have seen their vehicles sit at railyard marshalling points for multiple weeks and even their local dealership cannot get it out of there.

From my observation of others in the past with like issues, it does not matter what fit you have or who you get involved, it does not go any faster to get the vehicle to you.

Basically you either find your inner Zen and have the patience it gets there whenever it gets there, or you move on to something else.

Sure would be nice if they would take down some of the red tape around incentives. I'm in a similar position (truck has been built and pending shipment since 12/20), but haven't been waiting a year like the OP, rather 5 months, but I'm getting wound up a bit too just because of the potential to lose out on an additional 5% with current incentives because the of the "must take delivery" clause. If it weren't for that, I'd be as cool as a cucumber, but its driving me crazy that I could lose out on saving another $4k because of this. They should add in a contingency around sold orders and incentives (allowing sold orders to "virtually take delivery" if their vehicle is built, pending shipment and the sale is fully executed). Hopefully mine shows up by the 16th (supposedly my ETA is the 10th thru the 14th) or they extend the current offers to the end of the month.

Yeah. I’m in the same spot but I risk losing the ENTIRE incentive. It’s asinine.

I get the frustration but from a business perspective, I can see why they do what they do. Making special exceptions here or there opens up a Pandora's box of situations of were do you draw the line? Nobody wants to draw the short straw.

Getting a new 23 model after the 24’s are out and a 12 month wait period means I would cancel and get my money back or a very large discount due to depreciation

Damn....Thought that might be the case since you ordered yours so early in the year. Have you inquired about if there is anyway they can honor it? I'm sure its not readily offered, but I'm sure they have a regional rep or a Stellantis territory manager that could perhaps bless and approve something like that given the extenuating circumstance...Worth a shot.

That said, I know I've mentioned it before and it won't make you feel any better (as I sometimes don't even believe myself lol), but I find it extremely hard to believe that they're going to squash incentives on the 16th. There are still 20K 2023's on lots, in transit or being built. End of months are always going to be a more likely time for them to offer incentives, couple that with all this old inventory and the atrocious sales figures they've been posting to share holders, Stellantis leadership would be absolute fools and borderline negligent if they didn't maintain the current offers at a minimum. But FOMO is real LOL.

As a plan B, if it comes down to it, I plan on exploiting my 2 week grace period to take delivery. I don't NEED the truck, just want it and am eager to close the deal at the current incentive. If they do take a pause on incentives, I really can't see it being for too long. Maybe just long enough to spark some more FOMO in the market to try and get those on the fence to take the leap when they bring it back again, and then voila, deals are back for a "limited time only" ;). Marketing tactics. No way can I see them just raising and leaving prices on 2023's at normal MSRP, there is just no way.

The OP has reason to be pissed; even outside of the recall and UAW shit.

I also ordered from Koons 8/18/22 and took delivery on 10/22/22. From the time mine was complete to at the dealer was a matter of 3 days (from Ohio to VA via truck)
