""OK, so nothing specific is set in stone just yet, as the two companies only signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), so they can explore ideas without any specific binding obligations. The idea is that both sides see potential opportunities to partner up, be it with technology or product lines, and they'd like to officially take a closer look. However, there seems to be real intent to develop products together and, more importantly, for the U.S. market"".

This is like saying Fiat, Lamborghini, and Mercedes are cousins because Chrysler had 30% ownership at one time. Anything for attention.

Genuine question about responsibility scope with this partnership:
Which company is going to make sure it rusts before the electrical system lets all the smoke out or catches fire?

Lucas Electrics x MOPAR.

I think i may have just had a stroke thinking about this unholy union.

I hope that Jeep's influence on Land Rover means Land Rovers will once again come with a proper pair of solid axles.

I fear that Land Rover's influence on Jeep means Jeeps will devolve into glorified faux-by-fours with car suspension front and rear.

On a more serious note, while I don't see what Jeep might want to gain from Land Rover, I can imagine Jaguar could try to reintroduce themselves to the US market via a body of their design adapted to the new generation Charger platform.

Meh…..
I don’t think either companies want to ‘collaborate’ on their engineering & design.

I think it’s more of a ‘convenience’ for JLR utilizing Stellantis factories for the U.S. market.

The good news is you’ll be able to set the jeep on fire and blame it on the wiring for insurance claims 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I had an LR3 when LR collaborated with Ford and it was the best Land Rover I had with a Ford v6 and oil filters at Walmart. I converted the air suspension to regular with a kit from Atlantic British.

Funny, FAUXBY4 is the plate on my friend's Ridgeline.

Saw this off center plate on a Rover the other day. First I thought it was hideous, then I decided it’s Jeep styling cues. 😆

I was just behind one at a tunnel car wash. It took the driver and the attendant about 5 minutes to get the computer to go to Neutral and take off all the brake-hold assist features so they could send it through. The attendant apologized and said they had to get about three layers into the screen menus turning things off before it would allow itself to be washed.

Words cannot express my disdain for modern cars.
