straight up trollin' This is a great place for Jeep owners to share stories, pictures, and get ideas. Original post dosn't even ask any question or have a concern, just needed a place to shed some tears I guess. trade it in, move on, and get something new. Then look for a forum on that brand to complain about, sorry your dealer sucks, good luck.
This is not simply a forum to extol the greatnesss that is Jeep. At least I hope not. I'd like to see the good and the bad. I bought my JTR with my eyes open, fully aware that Jeep does not have a good reputation on quality. With that being said, I would be hella pissed if my 50k-60k brand new truck fail so catastrophically. You bet I would be bitching about it. And so would a lot of other people. Fortunately for me, I've not ran into any issue so far and is having a blast.

To OP, hope you get this worked out, get it replaced or lemon lawed.

If I was you I would, calmly, ask if they can explain to you the process they are going through and why it's taking so long. They may be able to provide you with a good, proper answer and open your eyes a bit to the back end of things.

I'm a computer guy and have to fix things for people on the back end where they can't see and sometimes it take longer than what I image they think it should. During my process I speak with them and let them know what's going on at a very low level so they understand I'm not just sitting there and taking my time.

You may find a lot of it is red tape and that their hands are tied for what all they can do. I know the dealership is frustrating you not calling you back and I would let the service manager know that. If you haven't yet opening up that communication could be the difference between you guys having a good relationship that helps you out better in the long run, or you being lamented and just thinking the dealership is just incompitent (which it very well may be). I'm lucky enough that my delership near me that I go to for service is actually very good.

jeep sucks!!! Customer service sucks!!! Everything about jeep sucks. I have no idea how so many of you guys have owned so many of them. I’m 1 and done with jeep. Spend 50k plus on a vehicle to be let down. I never even got a change to take it off-roading and it still breaks. Been in 2 different dodge shops and still can’t figure out the issue. First dealership had it 15 days to give it back to me broke and 3 days later I take it to another dealership and it has been sitting there going on two weeks and no answer. Now that it’s been going on 30 days total in shop they are sending a Chrysler tech in Monday to look at it. I don’t even want it anymore I’m done and want to lemon it. Here in VA 30 days qualifies for lemon. I really hope anyone on the fence about buying a jeep product looks the other way and purchases something different
@JeepCares - Help a brother!!

I've had 3 JK Wranglers and now my Gladiator, over 80,000 miles on the Wranglers, only time they were in the shop is for the Jeep Wave Oil Change and Tire Rotation. I've also had many Honda's, 1 was nothing but trouble, 1 they bought back under lemon law, the rest never saw the dealer after I bought them. Point is, I have had more trouble with cars that are known for their outstanding quality than with Jeeps, kinda the luck of the draw?

I guess I’m one of the unlucky ones. I’ve done a lot of research and I have noticed jeep is known for electrical issues. I see a lot of people on here also have issues with the back window leaking. I also noticed a lot of people have steering issues. I realize all car brands have their flaws. I really do love my jeep. I think that the nightmare I have had with 2 different dealerships has rubbed me the wrong way. If I would have been able to get in and fixed right away I wouldn’t be venting like this. I just think 4 weeks and no answer is unacceptable. I really hope they can just lemon it and I could just start over with a new gladiator.

Sorry for your bad luck and bad experience with your first Jeep. Don't let this sour you on Jeeps though. If they finally figure out the problem or you get it replaced under a lemon law, you will probably be glad you didn't give up on Jeep.

I'm on Jeep number 6 and they have all been amazing and without any serious issues, despite me beating the heck out of them off-road. I flipped one it's side once, flipped it back over and drove it home and never had any issues. I also drowned one in a swamp once, drained it and same thing, never an issue.

I don’t leave it plugged in. I just bought it to adjust tire size. I don’t think it could cause any issues
This right here is probably what caused the issue. The ABS module is very finicky with with certain tire sizes configured in the BCM. I see this all the time with 2019+ Rams, and there was another member here that had this issue. Tell the tech to restore the vehicle configuration, verify the ABS module hasn’t gone into plant mode, and perform the ABS initialization routine.

This is the one constant when dealing with warranty issues. Maybe you just need to get a little nasty. I get you catch more flies with sugar than you do salt but then again you can catch a hell of a lot with dead squirrels. Be an a-hole. Report them to the BBB. File a complaint with the AG's office. Make them regret doing business with you.

Being an a-hole doesn't void your warranty and it can a) make them want to deal with you asap or b) escalate your claim up the chain of command to someone who can actually do something.

I adjusted the tires size probably 10k miles ago. I haven’t used it since. I don’t think the jscan would be the issue

Doesn’t matter how long ago, it can rear it’s head at any time. Humor yourself, and ask the tech to perform what I said. If that doesn’t work, have him pull up the canbus topography, and start doing the canbus takedown test until the offending module is identified.

So lookong at those codes, the jeep thinks the transmission control module is missing. It is either loosing power or communication. Should be straight forward to troubleshoot.

I thought the same thing about being straight forward to troubleshoot. I thought with all the technology now days they would be able to figure it out. It’s been at 2 different dealerships, 2 weeks at each one. I’m going on 4 weeks total in the shop with no fix. Someone on here pointed to a wire harness behind the passenger side tire. It looks like that could be it as it houses a lot of ground wires. I talked to the dealership and the blew that idea off. Everything I suggest to them gets shrugged off
