Don’t use the cruise, my experience is I can get better MPGs without it. Also it’s a little late now but you should NEVER use the cruise during the break in period, varying your speed is important during the first 500 miles.I have about 860 miles on stock JT Rubicon with 2" mopar lift kit installed (35 tires and rims not mounted up yet). Almost all highway with cruise set between 65 and 72. 13.9 mpg average. ?
MT tires. Extremely disappointed. Where is my advertised 20 something mpg?

Noticed the same huge difference on long drives. Coming back from Fort Wayne a year ago once we got out of the 55 and 60 mph speed limits and my wife nailed it - you could see the current and average numbers drop.I have a stock Rubicon, about 1,000 miles on it, with a tonneau cover (don't know if that is worse than having the air bubble cushion you get with the tailgate up.
I'm getting about 13 MPG running errands around my neighborhood. I can't even call it "city driving". I also do a remote start almost every drive for past couple months.
I've only had an opportunity to get long distance on the highway a couple times now. Cruising at 75 MPH, I got only 17.5 MPG. During some slower cruising at 55 MPH, I was getting 23.5 MPG. It was a huge difference on the computer as soon as I slowed down.
Interesting. My dash always shows higher than actual.Dont base your MPG on the dash read out. Mine always about 2 MPG better than actual. I always use miles divided by gals.
Do the math to get a accurate mpg.
my $.02 worth.
No surprise with those tires. The weight, rolling resistance, meat on the road - it's not going to be good.I'm getting 13 city 14-15 highway
JTR w/ stock 4.10s, 8spd auto, running Milestar Patagonia MT 37x12.5
Speedometer has been recalibrated.
MPG is worse than I anticipated.
I've seen people running 37s claim they get 16-17 w/ stock gears. Now I'm thinking they are probably running AT. If I knew this sooner I would've went with ridge grappler...No surprise with those tires. The weight, rolling resistance, meat on the road - it's not going to be good.
