I'm sure there is a thread somewhere in here about this but wanted to share anyways. New to group as well. Recently while driving i happened to see a message about servicing rear axle. I then noticed on the right side of my cluster the light stating axles locked and an "!" next to it. It appears they are having issues with the sensors getting hot and cracking thus allowing oil to get inside. Here's the kicker if you are not aware. No replacement sensor available. The entire axle has to be replaced. I suspect that Chrysler will have one day as it gets costly to replace and axle at $3000.00. The next issue one might have is if you re-geared you will have to put factory 4.10's back in before the replace and oh, they are running up to 3 months for a replacement. Last checked 2 weeks ago Chrysler had 35 JT's with 24 of them VOR's (vehicle off road). Chrysler also had 69 of the axles on order. Just another issue to be aware of in case it happens to you. Other than that I enjoy my rig.

I am tracking this issue closely. Fortunately my JTR has not shown symptoms. If it does, I'll buy the Z Automotive wiring harness to fix it vs. the new sensor.

that's just it, there is no replacement sensor. I'd have to read up on the Z Auto as I'm not familiar with it. I'm sure Chrysler is working on a simple replacement and new design. part probably cost 20.00???lol

So you need a dash light controlled by a cheap sensor to tell if your lockers are working ,enough that you have your dealer order a entire new rear assembly , put your brakes and axles in it and send you on the way with a brand new crappy sensor in your new rear?
Ok for you, me I’m doing the Z auto for now until this insanity of swapping rears is over and an improved sensor is available. My ordered 2021 Mojave I got six days ago with 94 miles on it has sensor issue, so they are still putting the poor designed sensors in new Jeeps and the replacement rears. I’ll wait then pull off Z-auto and take it to dealer when improved sensor is out there....Jack

Maybe FCA never fixes the sensor, if every one gets the Z . Only your friends know if your locker aint workin .

How many miles do you have? My new replacement axle arrived within 2 weeks or less. Typical time frame has been 6 weeks or more. Keep us posted on yours.

Am I the only person that see a ridiculous $179 price for a few wires? :(

Yup, two plugs couple wires and a potted device, but it works, it was quick and it is outragous but so is everything we buy for our Jeeps, I am always amazed what the prices of things that are fabbed to add items on, air comoressor brackets, tents anything for overlanding, I even got expensive mud flaps but they all work on our outragously priced Jeeps......Jack
