Leather vs cloth

If I was to buy new or order again, I’d go cloth seats and have custom PRP seats made with the money I saved. I don’t care about my rear seats and the PRP seats are so much nicer than the stock ones.

I would never get ACC in a JT or wrangler. The windshields crack too easily and they are a lot more expensive to replace with the ACC.

Same price with or with out acc. The JT/wrangler do not need recalibration if you use OEM glass because the unit is not attached to the windshield like other cars. If the installer is telling you otherwise it's an upsell or they just don't know.

Plus for 2024 and beyond all of them will have the camera anyways so no difference.

Cloth if going topless. I rented a Wagoneer for a long trip I was taking and loved the ACC on it. Especially for a long trip.

I was told you could disable ACC. Shutting it off on a vehicle I had it on before was like trying to type in a Nintendo cheat code.

Leather for me !! I’ve had cloth seats with just a few rain drips and there stained. The stain comes out with foam cleaner but heck. Who wants to do that all the time ?leather always looks rich and clean. If you leave roof panels off throw a towel over them !! I have never had a stain I couldn’t get out of leather either. I have the brown leather in my Glad.

standard CC is still there and usable, so it's easy enough to just not use acc instead of disabling it.

Cloth may be cooler but everything I've ever had with cloth seats has shocked the snot out of me in the wintertime every time I got out. No static electricity with leather seats. I swore off cloth seats 25+ years ago.

Also, probably dependent on what trim level you are going for, the leather seat option comes with other things like the fold-down armrest in the back seat and leather wrapped shifter and maybe a leather wrapped brake handle. I don't recall the specifics.

I've had both but prefer cloth actually. kind of "grippy" and keeps me planted in my seat. I prefer it for my dog too. He's got to go with me everywhere...

You have the option to use ACC or regular cruise in the Gladiator.
I love my ACC and with the ASG it's already paid for itself.

Love my leather too though I never get to see it cause it's covered.

I would go leather because like another person said, you get other extras with the leather seats. That being said I went Mojave or Rubicon because I could get the grey leather seats in the Mojave and only the saddle brown in the Rubicon. Now I am smarter and realize I could get Katskins and make them any color I wanted!!! I still Love the Mojave though.

I live in HOT Florida and the leather does not bother me a bit. I do wish the seats were cooled though, very nice in the other car we have. But I would also recommend to everyone that they spring for the cold weather package unless you live on the equator. In the winter it comes in really handy when the top and doors are off and the early morning air might be a little cool.

As for color....as everyone has said, lighter colors hide scratches the best. Mine is Hydro Blue and it will show scuffs and scratches in the clear coat pretty easily in the right light. But I have not had much problem from pinstriping even though I run through the state forests and get those bushes hitting the sides all the time. When I have had some scratches they were from actual 2 inch or bigger limbs/trees/branches that hit hard against the jeep. But even those big scuffs I have had excellent results buffing out using the 3M Xscratch removal kit. I no longer worry too much about the small twigs and palm leaves.

I love my leather seats vs cloth. I think the cloth might last longer overall but leather is nice and easy to clean as others have said.

Adaptive cruise is awesome as well. I drive a stretch that people constantly vary speed even thought the single lane is straight and rural. Think of Adaptive as an answer to those in front of you that can't use cruise control. You also can use regular cruise too but Adaptive let's you relax.

The most impressive feature to me is the keyless entry. Touch the door handle with keyfob in pocket and every door unlocks. Most seamless, keyless entry I've used.

I used disable as off and enable as on. Disable the A of the CC system.
