Yeah that was my thought. I time from leaving driver seat to back in driver seat. CO2 is fast but you gotta be superhuman to get out, deploy equipment, inflate, packup and reseat in less than 5 min.
I have no doubt you could run around like a pit crew and get it done that quick, but why? That's not the pace I want to spend my recreation time at. I have a CO2 rig that sits in the garage collecting dust. The 5.65cfm compressor is plenty fast, filling up all 4 tires in about 15 minutes and it's much more transport friendly and takes up very little space by comparison. If I'm in a bigger hurry than that I'll just cruise down the freeway at 15psi.
Besides hitch, what non-stock skids did you find useful when running the 2" AEV? Which hitch skid do you have?
Is that with the stock-shock option? Be sure to install it fast once you start so that your before/after road test still has the stock ride in your memory for comparison
This x100! Get the AEV Dualsport suspension. It has EVERYTHING you need to keep all the other components within OEM specs and rides better than stock.
I was not including the hose connection time obviously. But my post was to point out that a four hose does inflate faster, not that co2 is fast. The other major advantage to co2 though is that it’s quiet. I aired up at camp while my kids were sleeping in the tent next to the jeep. They didn’t wake up.
I’m EASILY done in way less than five minutes without sprinting. The tank is mounted within reach of the tailgate, and my hoses are always right next to it.

I got the 4 hose from Speedflate when I was still using my m18 2 gallon Milwaukee compressor. When I saw how much time it saved, I got greedy and went for co2. But there was no way I was spending power tank money. This setup from Preece is less than $400 for tank, regulator, handle, and mount.of course its that easy. its almost insulting

I'd definitely choose the CO2 over that giant compressor that is still slow as hell at only 1.2cfm. I carry too many tools and too much recovery gear to give up the space. Fortunately my compressor is about 4.5x the inflation speed of the m18. If it ever dies (10+ years of airing up everything from 35s to 42s), I'll go for one of the twin cylinder 10+cfm compressors on the market and cut my air up time in half without having to mount a huge tank. Being that we have a 2022 xr and a 2023 JT mojave I prefer something I can store in a canvas bag and move from rig to rig easily. Again, not knocking CO2 as you'll never beat that speed, but comparing it to a slow compressor makes it look better than it is.
Any time. I’ve loved it. Zero issues with anything. Their support is fantastic as well. I asked some questions when I got it as I was new to co2. I’ve been doing my own refills for about a year now. It’s cheaper than paying the local shop. I have a 50lb tank in the garage that’s under $40 to refill. I get 4+ refills of the 10lb with it. And I can do top offs instead of having to wait for it to be empty. The trick is to have a large tank with a dip tube so you’re getting the liquid co2 at the bottom. Then use a cheap scale to figure out how much to put in. My empty weight with the handle is around 16lbs. So when it hit 26lbs I know I’m full. The other trick is to freeze your 10lb tank before filling it. I put it in the freezer overnight.
