All you fancy 8-speed folks... I just repurpose this for my "Select Speed"We used it last Spring on a trail in George Washington National Forest, climbing from Switzer Lake to Flag Pole Knob, and it was great. We didn't need it for the traction, but it's a long trail and once you get your ground speed set to where you want it you can just cruise along and enjoy the scenery.
That's what that button does! I thought it was for help on a steep hill decent.Put the transfer case in 4Lo, and push the button on the dash that looks like it’s for a hill descent mode…
It’s covered in the manual.

Exactly! Jeep for some reason doesn't promote this feature to the extent that Toyota promotes their system. Cool that it works both ways (up/down).That's actually a pretty clever use-case. Kind of like the Toyota Crawl Control. I'll have to remember that next time I'm in some tough snow.

Awsome report! There is nothing like a Jeep in the "wild"!The Selec-Speed will apply throttle & brakes as needed to maintain the selected speed.
I’d tested it before, but this is the first time I really used it. It worked great!

I thought it was for when your in the mountains on an interstate when you have like a 9% - 13% grade down hill in 2wd. This is only for 4 Low. Now I wish I was in Buffalo for that 5 feet of snow so I could have gone out and tried it!That too.
