Because the wifey has Parkinson's, plus just having foot surgery. I had to make a set of steps that bolt on to the White Knuckle rock rails. If I go 4 wheeling. I can remove them easily. 3 bolts and they are off. Wanted to use round tubing. But couldn't find anyone to bend it. All of my friends that I have connections with are retiring. So...I had to go with square tubing. They're mounted to the rock rails using a double shear tabs. After I got them done. I sprayed them with rattle can bed liner from Advanced Auto.tell me more about that little step you rigged up
Just wait till you decide that axles make sense. This is my favorite thread on JT Forum. No better way to endure 13+ hrs of rain than reading an old 115 page thread and watching "Roadkill" reruns.
Only problem is the 40" tires are starting to look doable.
Build coming soon. There will be lots of pics posted come june. Owning a solar company im no stranger to project management but the domino effect on some of these mods is hard to avoid.I have already justified the tons. I wish you would do a build thread so I could maybe avoid some pitfalls.
