After reading everyone's comments, I'm think I'm becoming partial to the Bulletpoint option. I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to the dash, so for me, it seems like the option for me.
I guess I prefer my balls clean. I like the notion of the 67 Design shaft to compliment my balls on Bulletpoint. LOL...

On a more serious and related note... I also realize that 20mm and 1" are the two common sizes. I use the Quadlock system on my phone for my motorcycle and scooters, so I'll have to buy those 20mm to 1" adapters to make it work. I also have a couple of RAM mounts, so I can use that for the passenger side and rear passengers.

Speaking of backseat passengers... I think I'll opt for the Vector solution for the rear (https://vectoroffroad.com/collectio.../products/rear-seat-jl-gladiator-track-e-dock). Its very clean/low-profile, and seems very versatile. After all, the passengers could also benefit from a couple of my balls dangling over them.

Bulletpoint. The best phone mount I’ve ever used. I bought it a month before I got my Mojave and installed it as soon as I got home and couldn’t be happier. Also, they’re right down the road from the Jeep plant which makes it even cooler.

P.S. @skindata - Your Gobi Mojave has me jonesing for my order to come in. Almost the same exact build... but mine is an automatic :( (living in NYC makes driving a manual less than fun).

But man alive... blue balls for my Gobi Mojave to come in...

I have the Bulletpoint RubiGrid. I can't say enough good things about it. My phone is super solid! I actually mounted my phone to the furthest point on the passenger side. I like the angle I was able to achieve and the unobstructed view of the 8.4" screen. It also included the GoPro mount and ball which was a bonus. I also liked I was able to mount without drilling or applying double sided adhesive tape. It comes with a nice little wrench to snug up the thumb screws as well. Top knotch quality and made in the USA.

I have the same thing. Love it. I'm adding 2 more ball mounts. One for a mike, the other for a hand held radio.

I have a friend who is a urologist. He's very proper but appreciates a good joke. He also backs his car into the garage when he parks at night, so this prank was easy to hide. I once tie wrapped a set of those balls, except in obnoxious bright blue to the underside of his Mercedes convertible that he used to drive to work. He never noticed them until another doctor said something to him about his "statement" that he was making with them. ha.

Clicked on this thread fully expecting to find a Testicular Cancer screening PSA. But alas, I see this is a quite different, but equally important discussion.

The anvil overland bar is well made, I replaced my 67/Bullletpoint setup with it and so far am happy with it.
67 designs rail base was great, the arms were about the same from both companies and would work themselves loose enough for the phone holder to move when removing the phone. Even using the provided wrench to tighten, they would eventually loosen up.
The glue holding in the rubber pads in the sides of the Bulletpoint phone mount melted and ended up stuck to the phone case

That does look really nice! But a bit over $200 just to hold a phone.

I’ve used dash mounts in other cars, but personally I didn’t like the dash mounting position for how I sit in the Jeep. It was always half behind the steering wheel or half covering the UConnect screen. Plus a lot of glare when you go topless. I’m much happier with it mounted lower.

My wife and I both have the Bulletpoint Rubigrids in our Jeeps, and they're fantastic. I especially like the single ball adapters that go into the grab bar - they work much better for passengers than having something mounted up high on the dash.

The only piece from Bulletpoint I would NOT recommend is the radio holder. They don't really hold the radios we have (Midland) very well. The holders are really rigid metal, and the edges and corners are pretty sharp. It only holds the radio in place by essentially digging into the plastic housing of the radio. This scrapes the hell out of the radio, and because the holder itself is also a hard metal, it doesn't really grab the radio the way a spring-loaded mount with rubber (like the phone holders) would.

I went with the CMM stuff and I've been really pleased. You definitely pay for it, but I think it is worth it.

Screen real-estate is very precious in the JT so I didn't want anything sticking up above the dash.

I don't have anything planned just yet for the grab handle ball, but it was on sale when I was shopping last year so.....

I started off with the Ram Mount Dash rail ... it in itself works well, but I'm not a fan of their phone mounts, so I switched those out to 67 Designs.

Now I did find an interesting little fact this weekend. I purchased the Ram Mount threaded ball that was to replace one of the grab handle bolts ... I found out that the grab handle bolts are in fact faux bolts that are actually nothing more than plastic screws? IDK if they are real bolts on the JL's ... not the case on the JT. So, if going that route be sure to purchase the correct ball from someone like CMM.
