How about teraflex extended travel suspension, which will come with all the accessories like brake hose, breather, cable etc. to gain 16 more inches of extension? Does anybody know more about it? And about the bypass system suspension, I'm not sure I really need it, I prefer to have an adjustable system instead. I'm really far from the nearest desert where I can take advantage of them...
Its a great kit. and its your money, and your confidence behind the wheel. If that's the kit you need to have the faith in your vehicle. by all means man, you can't really go wrong if your buying quality. I will say this. internal bypass isn't just for the desert, any excessive speed on ANY surface benefits greatly from a solid bypass setup. I run rallys in appalachia with my mojave. 60+ mph down tight gravel and rocky mountain trails. All stock except for tires and she runs like a top. She still climbs the steps at Flagpole and Union Srpings with no issues, doesn't lift a single tire. I've been wheelin for the better part of a decade now pretty ,much everywhere from Oklahoma western line to the Outer Banks. I can count 3 time in which i thought my Mojave didn't have enough flex for the job. Its still got through everytime.

What do you think is the reason?
solid well know name, their manufacturing is close by to AMW home shop, and the hemi swaps require a min of 2in lift. Easy required upsell on customers.

Videos or pics or or didn't happen🤣 I'm pretty good at finding times it could use more, but that's what happens when you like to toe the line.

The video from yesterday the front was disconnected. These pics from a year and a half ago I hadn't added the quick discos yet. This may have even been before the triangulated 4 link rear and front drop brackets.

Maybe because it’s the most known brand? I’m not really sure.
Or some financial arrangement, kickbacks, commissions, whatever. OR - they just like them and it's convenient as heck?

Teraflex is way down the list of brands I would choose. Evo, Clayton, Metalcloak, Rock Krawler all make superior equipment to Teraflex.

@2021JeepGladiator I have the Teraflex extended rear travel kit on my overloaded JTRD. I think it's a good quality kit for the money, the brackets are well machined and sturdy, the sway bar replacement kit does the job, all the extended bits you need are included. Install wasn't too hard, all DIYable in the driveway.

I'd agree not to assume anything based on who sells what - IMHO Teraflex has a marketing budget and it seems evident to me that they use it for shop placement and free/reduced influencer installs. Really I have nothing bad to say about the parts I have from them, and no opinion about other brands named here that some might think make higher quality parts (as I haven't seen many of those in person). Best thing to do is slow down and don't buy anything sight unseen off the internet - meantime find local people with various installs, and check them out in person.

I like my Clayton springs but I had a set of their adjustable front sway bar links that were no good. I found it impossible to get proper torque on the fasteners, and after losing several nuts on the trail, replaced with Rock Krawler and all has been good. But we're only talking about control arms here I guess. FWIW I have Metalcloak arms and they've held up great - but they have jam nuts and a lot of people here are allergic to those. Maybe clamps vs jam nuts is what you need to decide first (and be ready for a new flame war on that topic)

One last thing about the 16" kit - I only get 14.5" total rear flex because my Clayton HD springs have a bit too much coil and a bit too short free length to get to 16" with the retained-spring setup in the 16" kit. 16" is with Teraflex's springs which are too soft for my particularly heavy build. Nevertheless it's a lot more travel than I got stock, and maybe in the future I can find a different spring that gets me a bit more droop. Meantime, it works well enough to run the Rubicon with this heavy ass vehicle and camp in luxury, so it might be splitting hairs a bit to argue about what might be even better

I dont believe Teraflex's claim on 16in of travel, not with their springs having a free length of 24in and compressing to about 10in. I've also tested Rock Krawler, Clayton, and Synergy springs with an at best travel of about 13.5in

Getting long travel out of the rear is not impossible, but very difficult with any multirate spring due to thicker wires and more coils. Literally the reason i went down my own rabbit hole and designed springs specifically for the JT - which easily results in 17in of wheel travel because of longer free length (26in), and ability to utalize all the uptravel since the spring will compress to about 8in.

With a Mojave, I agree with some of the other posts, a simple 2in kit with shock ext. would be the easy quik budget, especially for what you intent to use the vehicle for. The internal bypass 2.5's (stock on the Mojave, and is Fox's top of the line configuration) will always outperform Fox 2.5 elite. A new Fox 2.5in internal bypass is about $1000/shock, the performance elite are less capable and around $875/shock. (I pulled this info from Fox's website for a 2023 tacoma since they offered both versions, the JT only offers 2.5 elite or 3.0 internal bypass, so trying to user a better comparison)
