+1 for milwaukee.

As some members have mentioned, I also find myself selling off some of my air tools and downsizing my air compressor.

Typically check offerup for single tool or battery purchase.

Homedepot for bundle deals then resell the stuff i don't want or need.
I can't downsize my compressor due to painting/priming cars and sand blasting and bead blasting. I have a decent compressor but it barely keeps up with blasting.
I've never had any issue with even a cheap Craftsman portable keeping up with impacts and air ratchets. If you use it for sanding - that's another matter...

Dang, sounds like you have a full on shop ahahaha.

I find myself getting by with a 6 gal compressor for what I need.

Used to have a 30 gallon air compressor that took forever to fill (im talking 15/20 min). Finally got tired of not using and it taking too much space so I got rid of it.

Thinking about picking up an impact wrench for suspension work and tire removal. Don't really know much about them so I figured I'd rely on those more knowledgeable.

I just invested in a nice Dewalt cordless drill so I'd like to stay there so I don't have to buy different batteries. Unless of course I can get a steal on something else that will do the job.

What is the minimum torque and breakaway torque I need for lug nuts and suspension work??
Make sure you get a set of torque extensions, they will prevent you impact drill from over tighten the lug nuts.

My lugs are 22 mm so I bought a 22mm deep well socket and a 1/2 inch drive, 15 inch long breaker bar. Haven't had to use yet but do not anticipate any trouble.

Lol actually didn't pay for the 30 gallon compressor I had. My uncle gave it to me a few weeks after I purchased a snap on tool set and box from him for a steal.

To each their own but I honestly don't have the need for an 80 gal compressor let alone could justify $3k+ for something I would not put to good use.

I use a corded electric from Harbor Freight and it has done everything I have needed. It is at least 15 years old and not any problems. I think it cost $39 on sale.

Bought the Milwaukee mid torque and just swapped my front lower control arms with no problem. The high torque may be overkill FWIW.

Porter Cable tools have worked great for me. Going to pick up one of their impacts at Lowes this weekend.

Either DeWalt or Milwaukee will work for most people. I use almost every variation of both brands professionally and personally and they get the job done. I rarely use my air impacts. You don't need or want the biggest and highest torque impacts. I have plenty of those and hate to use them.

Also for people on here thinking that cordless are stronger than air must not use industrial strength tools. Here is a nice impact if you want to flaunt your torque specs. 50,000 break strength on air. I've seen them on sale for only 25k. Let see your fuel do that.

All joking aside, now let's see it do that on a reasonable compressor. Even the 1" IR we had for truck work needed all our shop compressor could give if you needed it for any length of time and it kept the 10 of us going (half doing tires) without issues on the small stuff.

Air is more practical at larger sizes because copper is heavy but in the scope of home use, electric is king.
