I'm at 37psi and it does seem better. It's not great though. It's not even JK or TJ good. It's ok.

This seems really widespread. I'm curious if people think it's a design flaw, manufacturing issue, or due to the wildpeak tire selection.

Add me to the list. Love the truck, hate the steering. The wandering at highway speed is terrible. The steering wheel play is a contributor, but I believe the main culprit is the steering gear box. Could be poor design, flaw or programming or a combination of all three. It is NOT a Jeep thing. It is NOT the tires. It is a problem that needs to be figured out and corrected by Chrysler/Jeep. The sad part is the JL guys have been fighting this for 2 years and now it is also part of the JT. If a solution is not found it will make me move on from Jeep again.

Honestly, I'm not going to my dealer because I believe it's an exercise in futility. As noted many (many...) times in this thread, they largely have no comprehension as to what is 'normal' and what is not. I'm going to let other who are experiencing this more acutely work through the system.

Did most folks with the steering issues have them from the start? Has anyone experienced the loose steering after their first 1 or 2k miles?

I've had my new Gladiator Sport S max tow for 2 days and my biggest complaint is the loose steering. This is my 3rd Jeep and I sure wish the steering was better because my wife has not driven it yet and think she is going to hate it because on steering wondering.

Hi Ray,
We regret to learn about your steering concern. Are you considering having your dealer address this? We would be happy to get you connected with a Case Specialist to assist throughout that process. We are available via private message!

Yes thank you I do plan on talking with the dealer that I purchased it from maybe we can make sure that I can keep going down the road safely. Not sure what would correct the loose steering but if it can be checked to make sure something not wrong. That would make the Gladiator a number one in my book.

Noticed it when I took mine home from the dealership with 9 miles on the ticker. Thinking about it, I don’t think the LE that I test drove was bad.

Do you have the part number tag on your steering box still? If you can see it, can you post it? Also what was your build date?
