I posted in this thread about Aussie a while ago. I never got any updates from them so I ended up going a different route myself. It would be nice if they made one for the 210 axle. I ran one in the front of my TJ and really liked it.

I believe you can get lunchbox lockers for the sport axles, as my wrangler friend Pig Pen has one in his on 37s and his Jeep is a beast… not sure which brand it was.
See This post
The easiest solution would be a lunch box style locker like a spartan USA Standard Gear Spartan Locker SL D30JL-27 Lunchbox Locker for Dana 30 JL M186 Differential https://a.co/d/cLcUVeE. Cheap, automatic, easy to install as it doesn't require great setup like a full case locker, unnoticeable in 2wd. Ran 1 in my old Cherokee for years without issue. I wouldn't spend arb money on a Dana 30, for near what that setup would cost once you add air supply and gear set up, you could source a Rubicon front axle and gain the strength, track width, and lower gearing (you would have to regear the rear axle to match) .
The Wrangler axles are different in the front. They use a Dana 30 unless it's a Rubicon. All Gladiators use Dana 44 axles in the front, even the Sport versions. At least to the best of my knowledge at this time.

I posted in this thread in 2021. I've long abandoned the idea of adding lockers. The LSD combined with the brake-locking "locker", for me, has been exemplary. It's certainly not the same as a locker, but I've yet to encounter an obstacle that a locker would have been the difference between getting through and getting stuck.

Credit where credit is due-- the brake lok differential system is amazing. I can see, and hear it working every single time I go wheeling. I'll say again it isn't an equal to a locker, as I'd prefer to avoid wheel slipping in the first place, but a locker isn't as necessary as it would be in a 4x4 with no software traction control system.

I'm regeared on 37s with a 3" lift, so it's usually an extreme high centering scenario that does me in.
That's cool to know the LSD with Brake locker works so well. I remember reading that listed on the window sticker and laughing at the marketing jargon. I believe that's the same system the various Trailhawk Jeeps use to lock their axles and they all seem pretty capable as well.

I would honestly spend the extra 300 bucks and just do LSD personally. But that’s just me.

My current plan is to replace the factory rear limited slip in my Willys with a TrueTrac, but I want a true locker for the front. One benefit with the CAD is that you won't even know it's there in 2WD except for the driveshaft spinning. I plan on doing the lunchbox locker soon and regearing it in the winter, so I'll have some time to see if I like it or want to replace it with a TrueTrac or a selectable locker when I regear.

The limited slip allows almost as much slip as the brake lock differential system does in my experience. I don't see much gain adding an lsd to the front. I think a lunchbox is perfect for the front of a JL/JT as the fad makes it invisible on the street and you get full lock up when you need it off road. The other problem with the full case lsd is that you need to set the gears up again. There goes another $1000. It's not a $300 difference is a $1300 difference for less gain. If you're regearing at the time anyway then maybe it's an option, but you're still paying more for less in my opinion. The only place I'd even consider an lsd over a locker is if you frequently drive on ice.

The majority of Jeep owners won't touch gear setup.

An average backyard wrencher can install a lunch box locker.
I’m shocked that none of the average backyard wrenchers have installed these yet. Should be thousands of them out there if that’s the case, but there’s not. ?‍♂

People have been installing lunch box lockers for decades. Where have you been?

I’ve been right here waiting for the first gladiator to do it, where else would I be?

Why are you waiting for the first Gladiator to do it? It's no different.

Have you ever installed a lunch box locker?

Because everyone else seems to be waiting for it. Seems like every 15 minutes there’s a new locker post, and it appears that nobody here has done one on a JT. To me that’s a sign.

Have I installed one? Of course not. I wouldn’t put a lunchbox in over a quality slip unit, and if I needed both front wheels to spin that bad I would just buy a selectable unit.

It hasn't been installed by anyone here yet because it's new for the Advantek axles.

For someone who wheels where you need a locker, a lunch box locker will outperform a limited slip every time. The cheaper part cost plus the easier labor than a full case locker is why people buy them.
