Just FYI. I emailed my Gladiator Sport S build to Spencer in Iowa today and he returned with a great price, but he told me I could not order the max tow and the rear diff. lock packages together. I would have to choose one or the other. You can still order the reg. tow package and rear diff. lock. I think I will go with the max tow package and delete the rear diff lock, just because of my personal needs. I still can't order because I am waiting on the granite color. I will also have him price a two inch lift kit with 33 inch tires. Since I live in Northwest AR, I think Spencer is my man, unless NC or Idaho come in with a ridiculous offer.

Max tow should be fine with Dana 44s

Just to be clear, what the OP is saying is that the Limited Slip option is not available w/ Max Tow. True ‘Lockers’ are Only available w/ the Rubicon.
If it were me, I wouldn’t want the clutch-type limited slip anyway, I would opt for a TruTrack L/S. I have them in 2 vehicle & Really like them.

So even though you can build them together on the official website, they’re incompatible? I mean that makes sense considering max tow includes lower gears and heavier duty axle housings.. but I’m sort of disappointed there isn’t LSD for the 4.10’s then. Oh well, that’s 500$ less off my build I guess. Lol.

You can't order the max tow and the anti spin, once you click on max tow, anti spin is grayed out. If you have proof please let us know.

I just configured an Sport S with automatic, anti spin, 4.10 and heavy duty tow package. There were no issues.

Still wouldn’t want a trash-lock if you gave me one

This thread is confusing.

On JL, the D44 comes with Trac-Lok OR Tru-Lok. One or the other. There is no open diff. D44 Advantek axle offered.

So you guys are saying that on JT, they're going to have an open diff D44 Advantek axle for the first time? So now there'll be 3 configurations? Why would Jeep do that?

Oh, and while I'm thinking of it, I've seen no indication that the Max Towing Group has a beefier axle. From what I've read ALL of the JT axles are beefier than JL axles including thicker tubes. So I don't believe a Sport Max Tow axle and a Rubicon axle are going to be any different whatsoever, minus the Tru-Lok.

The Rubicon axle is definitely wider, by about 1.5”...but I believe it was supposed to be upgraded in some other way. Maybe someone has the info more readily available.
