Just looked at mine in the '24 they are covered. I think in the old '20 the kids might have broken them but they were not covered

I've got 94000 on mine, and it's still attached.Give it a couple of months. They are junk and will break off in no time....... I had 4k on mine and it broke off. Junk!!!!
Here's a slightly better option, with a detachable cord! I'm going to just toss the 10' cord in the drawer at home, trim off the little connecting rubber piece, and leave the little pigtail hanging down! Love it.
The reviews don't look too good. Here's a slightly better option, with a detachable cord! I'm going to just toss the 10' cord in the drawer at home, trim off the little connecting rubber piece, and leave the little pigtail hanging down! Love it.

Best solution is to not let people in your jeep that don't respect your things.it's not that I want to, but I know what will happen if I plug into it with others in the truck "snap" then I'll have to replace it
LOL
4 plus years and 98k miles, mine is still going strong.Give it a couple of months. They are junk and will break off in no time....... I had 4k on mine and it broke off. Junk!!!!
I bought two of those over the course of three months last year, both experienced early failures. I had all kinds of issues with maps loading slowly, poor audio quality, charging problems, you name it. I finally went back to a good name-brand cable and just dealt with the cover not closing and have had no more issues.
That's annoying, I don't have a cover on my '21 Rubicon. It was a COVID car, so maybe that corner was cut or it was broken by the previous owner. The rear ports are covered on mine, for 2024 at least.

Yeah not seeing where you can buy just the cover from Mopar. The USB port/cover combo is $129 retail. That's annoying, I don't have a cover on my '21 Rubicon. It was a COVID car, so maybe that corner was cut or it was broken by the previous owner.
Looks like a replacement with the cover is $50 on eBay.
