Hello! I have a 2021 F150 and I am very very tired of driving a full size pickup every day. I love the Gladiator but my jeep friends and my wife all hate it. I dont get the hate. I want a mojave / rubicon and there are few locally.

Question - anyone come over from full size? I don't tow. I just use the bed for mountain bikes and household stuff. Also, why the hate!??
I came to the Gladiator “Diesel” from a 2012 F-150 ecoboost. Jeep are Jeeps nothing else like it. Full size pickups are all the same from 50 feet away. But you can spot a Jeep from any field of view. Unless it’s those bullshit India made knock offs.
Jeeps are really the Jack of all trades, master of nothing. You can reconfigure it to meet your needs as they change. Aftermarket mods are too numerous to count. Probably can build a Jeep from aftermarket parts. Just need a vin plate. Buy the Gladiator you won’t regret it.

The F150 does most things comfortably, but it is just a bland, forgetful appliance. The many quirks that the Jeep Gladiator has makes it special. It's always a special occasion when I take my JTRD out. Hell. I love just staring at my Jeep in the garage.

I needed a small truck. I wanted a Jeep. Only answer: Jeep Gladiator.

I came from an F150 and absolutely love the Gladiator. The difference is that I do tow and haul a lot in the bed. My Ford had the 5 ½’ bed where the Jeep is 6” shorter and has a shallower bed. Losing the bed height is the only thing I have really noticed. I’ve carried up to 5 small refrigerators at a time in the Gladiator and towed several light travel trailers with no problems whatsoever. After driving trucks for almost 40 years, I didn’t think the full size Ford was hard to park until getting the Gladiator. Now I no longer have to back up to get straight and I can park places I wouldn’t even have thought about with the Ford.

Just drove the Mojave. The power differential to the ecoboost is SERIOUS but I also had a JL with the pentastar and knew what to expect.

Yes - I switched from a '19 Raptor to a '22 Mojave. I was also tired of the full-size truck life having driven them for the last 20 years. I'm very happy with my Mojave. I sometimes miss the spaciousness of the F-150 but enjoy my Mojave tremendously!

I have a '10 Tahoe and was looking at a new Silverado ZR2........but they're just to frigging big. Secondly, my wife didn't want me modding the JL to much........so my finances are all set after building our new house. So the Mojave has been ordered

Drove F150's for over 20 years. My kids are all grown and out of the house and my wife and I purchased a smaller house on a lake. The F150 would not fit in the garage. The Mojave fits fine and I LOVE driving it every day. I have been out west and down south with it. I drive it everywhere. I enjoy just looking at it. I have no regrets. It would be sweet to have a V8 in it but its not needed for my daily needs.

I had a ‘12 f150 eco boost that left me stranded several times on the road. Ugh but that’s when I found my jeeps. I’ve had a 2 different JKU’s and now a JT. I also owned a ‘20 ram before my JT. I love the room of the full size but hate everything else. My JT gets me the off-road fun but still has the room for my work stuff and is a dream to drive for my long highway travels.
The biggest cons to the JTs is: too many goodies to make them the style and capability you want, you have to keep an eye on maintenance all the time to make sure it’s in tip top shape, and the constant attention you get … well hey… they are unique and not for everyone

good luck with your decision

The main thing I miss is cabin size from full size and comfort. My Laramie crew cab was just so damn comfortable for the wife and me to sit in. Kids, dogs. The jeep? It gets the job done but nothing special. Where it makes up is driving to the beach, doors off etc, panoramic sunroof is nice but so is no roof.

An underrated feature of a smaller truck is I can reach my daughters car seat if needed. In my full sized trucks I could not.

How about rear facing car seat and leg room? My wife is 5’3 and I’m 6 foot.

Same setup. My wife is around 5’2 and I have a rear behind her and she sits mostly comfortable. You can’t stretch for days but she makes it work. Idk about long trips it’s mostly just local stuff
