Yea I guess ill give it a bit more time and see how it shakes out. Just though a bit over 11 was crazy even for a new engine.
My earlier post was mostly in jest but also sincere but I will say, 11 mpg on your Mojave is unusually low. Mine never averaged less than 14.5 all stop & go driving.

Yeah, unless you are just mashing that pedal from every stop sign and traffic light 11 seems low compared to what i am getting.

I got Lower then average mpg and my buddy with a twin to mine averaged about 3 to 4 mpg better then me. He lives on a nice flat road and my neighborhood is all hills until you get to the main highway. He came and stayed with me for two weeks while they were doing construction on his house and his mpg dropped to the same as mine. If you have slow steep hills on a short drive it can really eat into these things mileage.

As it warms up I notice my Mojave with around 7k miles on it is getting better. Just over 17mpg now (yes, light-footing it, gas isn’t cheap) and hoping for 18+ as it gets hotter. Might swap out the air filter soon too, I live in a dusty area. That always helped my old trucks out.

You're in Morgantown? That's why. There's nowhere in your vicinity that's not a mountain climb haha. It will improve as it breaks in, though. But climbs and wind kill the gas mileage on these.
I will second that…especially during the winter. During college, my Acura RDX never even saw the green “ECO” light up until I went back to Georgia to visit my mom. In that Acura, I averaged 15 mpg around Morgantown and 24 mpg driving around Marietta, GA.

The hills in Motown kill any hope for good gas mileage. That being said, 8th street and 3rd street are great spots to test your tires/4WD in snow ?

Can't speak for the Mojave, but I routinely see single digits, when stuck in downtown stop and go traffic.

Downtown St Louis, I average maybe 8-10mpg, due to all of the damned stop lights configured in such a way to make you stop at pretty much every intersection. On the highway? I average 17-19mpg, depending on the wind. Uphill.... it depends on how steep, and how long I'm going uphill.

That said, I've added quite a bit of weight to mine, too, and I'm using the stock Falken Wildpeak M/T's that came with my Rubicon. (Looking to upgrade to 35s and the additional mopar lift, when these tires start to wear thin, or I have excess cash to spend ;)

Make sure your tires are inflated to spec. This is all city driving. I don’t drive like a gramma but I don’t jackrabbit everywhere either. Just driving normally.

Mine’s 14.6 mpg over 13,524 miles lifetime. All but the first tank of that is on 35s.

Just a datapoint.
Stock Mojave 6sp MT all stock AT tires but with the light aluminum Sport hood instead of the heavier Mojave hood.
Central texas to southern Colorado at mostly 70-75
Going up with mostly favorable winds was 22.5
Coming back with mostly favorable to calm winds was 21.5 . It was actually ~22.5 most of the way.
I was lucky to have good winds both ways.
Worst mpg was 16.8 pulling wide trailer with brisk headwinds.
City mpg drops to 17.5 if I drive like a responsible adult. Down to 14 in maniac mode.

Yeah I’m not sure what’s going on there. If I light foot it I can easily get over 20. Verified by manual calculation as well.
