Oh dang, sorry man! I thought when I caught the video on your thread that was you driving it!

I was HOPING for better fuel economy than I am getting right now. I haven't addressed it at this point - figured I'd get a few thousand miles put on the engine. Usually after the break in period and 1st oil change things improve. On top of that this brutal cold doesn't help. My wifes X5 usually gets 20 and is averaging like 17 right now.

If I can't get it in the teens - I'll probably say F-it and send it back for a hellcat drop in.
If I park mine next to yours when you get the hellcat swap, they can just drop the 5.7 in mine. Lol, j/k.

You may have said, but what is your gear ratio now? Cold temps always seem to reduce mileage.

the UD60's came geared with 4.88s. That's what they recommended with the 40s.

so aside from this being truly one of americas most wanted 4x4s how do you like the power of the 5.7 with the 40s? I cannot imagine how people do 40s with the 3.6L....hows the in cabin audio? Mines got picked up today and will hopefully be delivered by Thursday. Weather a bit of a bitch right now

So honestly.....I am SUPER enthused with the power. Even running 87 Octane (390 hrspwr) the pull is satisfying. I am going to switch to the 91 tune next week (425 hrspwr) just to guage the fuel economy and power difference. Hopefully yours makes it home soon! Waiting is the absolute worse!

I've already been talking with Jared at AMW4x4 and will likely have it back in later this year to go ahead with a Hellcat swap.

I'll of course keep everyone posted. It's absolutley not needed but I went so far off the deep end with this build I regret not doing it now.

On a side note....my wife may divorce me so if anyone needs a roomate....lol.

I can sympathize. I went totally crazy on prior cars and other hobbies as well in the past. My gladiator is one of the most restrained fun projects I have done so far. Curious how much you can reuse from the 5.7 conversion. Hopefully it's not a new transmission again and all all the small stuff so that it's mostly just engine, radiator etc.

That came up in our discussion, almost everything except a few things are the same.

I probably would have done the Hellcat up front had I known I was going to do all the other stuff. When I sent this out there it was JUST going for the 5.7. Then the 5.7 got put in and I was like....well lets do all this stuff to. My fault - I am not disappointed in any way, its just more of a I might as well go ahead and do it type of scenario.

For sure! I think whenever we go back to have it done - we will just drive it and stay at a hotel while its being done. It should be a pretty quick this go around.

I think the 707 I'll get from the Hellcat when I get there will do it for me :)!
Famous last words...didn't you say the same about the 415 in the 5.7?

I'm just razzin' you. Mostly because I am extremely jealous. Do I need a 5.7? No, so I certainly don't need a Hellcat. But...daaaaaaayummmmm I'd want one for that glorious rush of a V8. I miss that power since I sold my '68 Mustang when I was broke and stupid.

Yepper! My dad sold his 67 Fastback because he was in a pickle. His dad offered to buy it and he foolishly told him no. A six figure car now!
