Well thats unfortunate. That said, you will need to get familiar with it fast. Install and uninstall is a little tricky, as well as programming. Sleep cycles are very important when programming. There are lots of of good YT tutorials…quadratec, northridge4x4, and Z-Automotive. Watch, rewatch, and utilize while programming.

ADD: uninstall requires putting the factory wires back to factory location. Just unmarry and remove is not enough.
While the Tazer is removed, perform a firmware update. Z-Automotive has a good video tutorial on how to do this as well.
Oh good advice! Is that video on their website or youtube?

YouTube has them all. Look for Z-Automotiveā€˜s page for the firmware update tutorial. If I recall he’s using a Dodge Charger. Quadratec and northridge4x4 for programming tutorials For the Tazer JL/JT.

Im running out of options here, I've been getting the "SERVICE TRANSMISSION" message since a few days after getting the transmission software update. Took it back to the dealership and they refreshed everything and it was good. Few days later, back on and back to the dealership, same fix and same result. I replaced my shifter a few days ago and it was fine, then came back on today. Seems like what triggers it is shifting into reverse or having a full tank of gas(sounds ridiculous i know). Never goes into limp mode, I've serviced the transmission myself, and the dealership has done it as well. At this point it has to be something electronic, because it drives fine. Any help is greatly appreciated
I started receiving the same message on my way from Atlanta to Vermont a few weeks ago. A couple days in my dashboard went nuts and my can bus bar fried. They replaced the fried junction box and it hasn't happened again. Hopefully your problem is different but... it's a Jeep

Saw this video the other day of a guy replacing one of these CAN BUS blocks and takes apart the old one. At about 7:00 minute mark, he takes it apart and shows the cracked solder joints. I would speculate one could re-flow those broken solder joints and be back in business.

Yes, once that was replaced the steering column controller popped a code and needed to be replaced too. The total for everything was $1600
Jeep the block is only like $60 i think. I replaced my transmission control module last week after they quotes me double the parts cost to replace it.

Mine might've been a bit unique. Mine fried because of high voltage running through it which is what fried the bar. They spent a lot of time tracing harnesses Looking for a bare wire or screw through a harness. They never found the source but voltage returned to normal after the search. That price included that
