As an FYI for everyone…… It’s a TSB…..not a RECALL.
TSB’s are completed FREE while you’re under the factory warrantee. In this case….it should fall under the 5/60 powertrain warranty.

And even so…. If you walk in one day to ā€˜complain’….. and they say ā€œIā€˜m not able to replicate the problem’ - you’ll have a hell of a time trying to get them to fix it (under warranty). šŸ™„

Yeah it is just saying if your over 60,000 ..here is the part # you have a problem with your motor, you buy part you pay labor fee etc.. its a " on you" thing for higher mileage JT's. So again everyone over 60,000 gets screwed.

Not thrilled that this could be a problem at some point, but am happy that:

- Its a new part number replacing the old one, so hopefully a 'better' part.
- Complete kit with rockers and gaskets (not sure if old one was? May not matter)
- This whole problem is something I'm confident I can fix myself if I have it outside of warranty.

It would be nice if they included the labor to fix it as they have finally admitted that it was a manufacturing defect…

well, good to finally have a definitive answer on what the real root cause of this issue was, but passed the buck to the customer. This affects my wife's 23 Wrangler and my 24 Gladdy...I will probably get a MOPAR extended warranty for the wifes right before her factory warranty expires as she docent rack up a lot of miles. I am not gonna worry about mine, if I end up with this issue its getting a AMW heart transplant, which is the long term plan anyway

So is the rough idle on cold start indicative of cam issues? My 23 Mojave has 8000 miles and no tick whatsoever but it does seem to idle rough once it sits and it's started cold. I'd love to nip a problem before it comes up but also leary about having a dealer fool with it if nothing is broken. Always seems like they cause more problems than they fix, or has been my case.

Okay so what exactly are they admitting too? Bad metal? Bad QC? Bad manufacturing? Bad Design ?
I read it .. it just says they know what it is but dont say . Just here's your toilet paper if it takes a huge crap on you .

Yeah I tried and they was like well this and well that and ride along this and inspection that . I told em to go get screwed !!! And I already have 128399 Miles and Im sitting on top a high peak look into Ohio

hell yeah. My warranty is outside of FCA so I just go to my trusted shop to get work done. I don't trust dealerships.

Well, when it is beneficial to them they will do a good job . If it is out of warranty then ???
I have appointment coming July on mine and I went with a Dealer who works on these but isnt licensed to sell them .
Call me crazy but I know they guy its a small dealership and they actually appreciate the business.
