Yes, it has the same wide axles and ratio as a rubicon but with an LSD like the Willy’s.Doesn't the max tow also have wider axles?

No Jeeps have steel knuckles. The Mojaves and EcoDiesels have ductile iron knuckles.all JT's have the same front housings, steel knuckles are only found on Mojave's and Diesel rubicons.
Same brakes. The cost of a regear alone nearly covers the cost of a Rubicon axle swap. If you're at on 4.56s the xr take offs are usually $4k or so. A regear locally with no added lockers or lsds or shaft or anything was $3k last time I did it. There's not a lot of aftermarket support for non-rubicon axles because it's much better to just swap them. You get gears, lockers, wider axles, better brakes, steel knuckles, stronger front housing, etc for less than building up the sport axles... and you can sell them for $1k easily. You can't even regear for that anymore. Scratch the xr comment, forgot which forum I was on. Even if your going to 37s, 4.10s are decent. Personally still wouldn't spend the money to regear and add lockers.
Not to mention the fact that with a LSD, the Jeep's "Brake Lock Diff" traction control is made even more effective than on an axle with an open differential.Same brakes.
Sometimes LSD is just better than a locker. You would rarely ever use a locker around here (total waste, ours will never get used) but the LSD is a real blessing for how I use mine.
It was fantastic plowing snow UP our slick driveway. Took a whole lot to stop that Overland. Not to mention the fact that with a LSD, the Jeep's "Brake Lock Diff" traction control is made even more effective than on an axle with an open differential.
99% of them do. First few months of JT production in early 2019, they shipped Max Tow 4.10 with open diff rears as the LSD's were on supplier constraint.I believe the JT Sport with the Max Tow package has a 4.10 with lsd.
Just regear. Apparently Zach and Andy is totally against a regear. Most people regear and that’s your best bet. Unless you can find a set of axles for a decent price and can do it yourself then I would just regear. I did lockers full front artec truss and gears for 3-3500. Totally worth it.While looking to regear my Sport S (open 3.73s) to a 28-spline gear set, I wanted to add some combo of limited slip diffs or a locker and LSD to the truck. LSDs preferably, as I no longer wheel much and the fully-locking options are about double the price.
I’ve since found that the 4.56 or 4.88 gear sets I’d consider are 28 spline. There are no 28 spline limited slips that I can find that will fit, which amazes me! Not seeing much in terms of full e-lockers, either.
How am I struggling to find such a thing for any Jeep vehicle - especially one based on such a popular platform?!?
Am I just blind? Do I not know what I am looking for? Could it really be that there is simply no aftermarket/non-OEM options for lockers or limited-slip differentials for 28-spline Gladiators?
well if we want to get technical they’re actually cast-iron. https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/c...OSYzY4l3iTboyvQ_Cu3h364cc1fAsvDqQCSej8NxLh_evNo Jeeps have steel knuckles. The Mojaves and EcoDiesels have ductile iron knuckles.
Correct. The ductile iron is cast into shape.well if we want to get technical they’re actually cast-iron. https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/c...OSYzY4l3iTboyvQ_Cu3h364cc1fAsvDqQCSej8NxLh_ev
No, ductile iron and cast iron are two different materials.Correct. The ductile iron is cast into shape.
I'd say longer than that - when I ordered in late 2019 (October/November) it wasn't even an option for the Sport at any level, Max Tow or not. It was an option on the Overland.99% of them do. First few months of JT production in early 2019, they shipped Max Tow 4.10 with open diff rears as the LSD's were on supplier constraint.
Ductile iron, cast iron, steel, all very different from each other.Correct. The ductile iron is cast into shape.
So not the same housings. The axle tubes are just 3/4” longer on each side, results in Rubi’s, Mojave’s, nighthawk/HA’s being 1.5” wider
Yes the same housings. The axle tubes are not the housing. The tubes are separate items pressed into the housings and then shipped as one piece. So not the same housings.
No they aren’t. If you buy an axle housing, the tubes come with it.Yes the same housings. The axle tubes are not the housing. The tubes are separate items pressed into the housings and then shipped as one piece.
